[ROM][N 7.1.2] [ KatKiss - Nougatella #039 ]

After a few days of use I can make a more thorough report.
overall very smooth and stable Rom. Here are the issues I'm facing.

- Keyboard layout : settings will not be applied / taken into account for physical keyboard dock
Edit : Solved after reboot
- Bluethoot not pairing with my Sennheiser hd 4.50
Edit : partly solved after reboot, now I can connect but not really working
- The tablet forgot that it is docked after sleep, most of times I have to undock and re dock so it switch back to the docked mode
Will see if issue still occurs

Also I have a question. It is mentioned overclock in the thread OP,
But I realized that max freq is 1.9Ghz, I think that's not over the stock clock. So it's probably more a governor fine tuning ?

Yeah, but it does not matter since you format it right back to ext4. You can use any format available in there...

Apart from the usuall TWRP bug with the system partition everything went well over here.
Make sure your download isn't corrupted to start with (check the file with the checksum provided) and come back with more detailed information, no idea what the twrp is off and sstarts means....

I am currently with the ext4 file system, with the previous version! I made a backup of this one. Can not make a simple update, I have to format everything to install it?

No it's just that you have to format /system to another file system and back to ext4 if you get the "cannot mount this or that" error. Your data stays untouched, so it is a simple update. With a little wrinkle

No, you flash the rom. IF you get the error you change file system on the /system partition to ext3, then right back to ext4. Then flash the rom again

Yes read (RTFM) the OP starting post. Always flash rom, superSU, and gapps then clear dalvik/cache and reboot.

I have the current latest version installed. Since many versions the SD-Card of the tablet itself doesn't work anymore. I don't mean the dock SD-Card that I have not tried but the Mini-SD of the tablet. Inserting an already formatted SD it appears readable in the filemanager but I have no permission to write or change the data. Trying to reformat the SD as I would prefer it to be formatted as adopted/internal usage, the dialog crashes. Can anybody reproduce that? I have wiped Dalvik and Cache but not the data, and I would only like to delete the data if that would solve the issue. Otherwise before wiping data, I would like to save a Titanium Backup to the SD, which doesn't work either.

What format are you flashing the MicroSD card in, NTFS; FAT32; exFAT?

This one is vfat or f2fs, not sure. But shouldn't it be possible to reformat it with the Android toolchain?

Format it to fat32 in Windows and the card will be fine

To be honest, I have no windows at all. So really, which filesystem do I need to format? I was not aware that I need to format SD cards before I can use them on Android.
Can TWRP format the external SD? I have some mkfs.vfat, mkfs.fat, mkfs.exfat...

The microSD card must be formatted "fat32" in order for the tablet to read it.

Hello,

Did a full wipe (from TWRP).

Installed (in order):

ROM: KatKiss-7.1_TF701T_027
SuperSU: SR5-SuperSU-v2.82-SR5-20171001224502
gapps: open_gapps-arm-7.1-stock-20180125
Wipe Dalvik/Cache

Google play Services keeps crashing, set up email (Gmail) crashes - says "Google Play services keeps stopping"

Play store crashes.

I turned on the wifi as I was setting up the language in the initial startup screen...but it kept crashing then also - so I chose the restore from another device as I had my Galaxy S7 sitting right here. That seemed to get things going..

Unfortunately I have this Google issue.

Any ideas ?

Due to issues I just decided to bin Nougatella and go with Katshmallow.

Things are working well.
