Hello,

Excellent job as always! Installing went like a charm, and the tablet is very reactive and pleasing to use. I have one problem, is there a way to remove the search bar on top of the launcher screen? It wasn't there in Marshmallow and I don't remember installing a custom launcher.

Thanks for your work!

Hi Timduru,
Excellent job. It works like a charm. Thank you!
I tried to use a SD card to extend the internal memory but it crashes regularly, so I formated back to an external memory.
Many thanks.

timduru thanks for all your work. I think I remember reading somewhere that you don't own a tf701. If that is the case I have a well used but working TF701 I would like to donate to you. Maybe it could help development. If your interested send me a PM.
Thanks, I have one actually. :)

The current version 018 is not on your mirror yet, right? I tried updating to that but the Kang TWRP is not able to mount /system anymore. I tried by rebooting into TWRP and cold starting into TWRP as I had SD-card mount issues with Kang in the past. But it did not help. Again the question, is Kang TWRP the only option? Why isn't there some official TWRP for the TF701T? Maybe jguy could donate its TF701T to the TWRP devs :) @gamel53: I have an 64GB SD Card formatted as adopted (shared internal). So I guess your card could have I/O errors or someting. Maybe look at the logcat output for kernel messages.

It was a huge effort just to get TWRP working for this device, it was more than 2 years into it's life until there was a version.

I use Clockworkmod, and have no complaints. Yeah, you don't have touchscreen capabilities, but honestly, Tim's ROMs take like 4 button presses to install anyway :)

Many thanks msssm. So far, I finally have enough internal memory, so I will stay like that.

I don't care about touchscreen... Any advantage about using CWM instead of TWRP-Kang? Where is the official mirror of CWM?

The issue that /system cannot be mounted anymore by TWRP is more serious. The Rom doesn't start anymore so /system seems to be seriously corrupted. Only thing I did was trying to encrypt the device, but after nothing happened the device was running fine. Seems I rebooted the first time now for another update to 018. So how can /system be damaged?

From TWRP adb shell:
Code:
# grep system /etc/fstab
/dev/block/mmcblk0p4 /system ext4 rw
# mount /system
mount: mounting /dev/block/mmcblk0p4 on /system failed: Invalid argument
# tune2fs -l /dev/block/mmcblk0p4
tune2fs 1.42.9 (28-Dec-2013)
tune2fs: Bad magic number in super-block while trying to open /dev/block/mmcblk0p4
Couldn't find valid filesystem superblock.

Flashing the rom zip is first formatting the /system partition, in TWRP it sometimes fails,
so as mentionned in the 1st post: either try simply to reflash the rom zip if it does.
(I typically have to reflash twice in a row, and it works fine) and / or try to format /system manually from TWRP before flashing the rom.

Hi Tim,

Any plans to get the Navbar button action working (i.e. Longpress to take screenshot)? If not, is there another way to take screenshots that I am missing?

Thank you, and great work so far with this!

Are you working on a way to make the camera work or it will stay like that? would love to have 7.1 on my tf701t but would like to keep my camera. Thank you
still working on it.

Hi Timduru.
Do you plan to update the tf101 on 7.x.x too?
Best regards
got it to build, but not booting so far.

yeah long press action are planned, it's already in the code actually
it only needs a new way to set them genericly as the navbar buttons are fully customizable through ui tuner.

you don't need that to take a screenshot though
you can do it natively with power + vol down

Hi,

March release of lineages OS comes without root. Is there a special zip file to flash for reactivating LOS root? Currently I'm using supersu with success.
