[ROM][N 7.1] KatKiss Nougat [TF201]

can someone help me please.

i purchased a tf201 without android installed but it has teamwin TWRP which it boots into. i have downloaded this rom, gapps and also the TWRP update. i have placed everything on the SD card and the TWRP recognises it all. when i go to install the rom it fails eveytime saying the MD5 is missing and cannot be matched. i cannot seem to find a way around it. i've wiped devlik and all the files but nothing. any suggestions or help would be GRATEFULLY received as its now driving me up the way. is it beyond repair?

It's a long time since I've tried it but it sounds like you have MD5 verification turned on. This isn't always necessary so you can try turning it off. You need to find an option in (edit: TWRP) settings or on the zip screen perhaps that relates to "MD5" - turn any that you find off and try the ROM zip again.

Might pay to install the TWRP update first. If you get the same MD5 error then one of your settings certainly needs to be changed.

ok, so i switched it all off and still no good. is there a way to delete all data on the tablet so its completely blank? install a new TWRP and go from there?

Boot into the TWRP and give us the current version number, the version you're running might not be high enough to run the ROM. - NP

i installed hairybean 2.31 and TWRP 2.5 upgrade according to the screen install.

TWRP 2.5 wont install 7.1 you need to flash a newer [v2.8.5.1] TWRP found here: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=95916177934539154

After that post here, you have to upgrade again using TWRP 2.8.5.1 to TWRP 3.1.0-1 it's an .IMG file and TWRP 2.5 can NOT flash that type
so it's a 2 step process. - NP

Just found my TF201 the other day and figured I'd get it updated. It's been so long I don't recall much of the info that was needed for what could be used with what. I was able to get TWRP up to v2.8.5.1. I think the bootloader is 10.4.2.15-20120917. After flashing this ROM it will hang on the ASUS logo screen forever. Do I need to move up to TWRP 3.1.0-1 or a different bootloader?

OK. I did get TWRP 3.1.0-1 installed. Installation of the ROM seems to be successful. Still hangs on the ASUS logo screen and never gets past it. Think it's the bootloader? It is unlocked.

All I did was flash the ROM zip file, then wiped dalvik/cache, and restarted.

also tried to change the FS to F2FS for data, then flashed the ROM, wipe dalvik/cache (which said was using ext4 so not sure if that messes it up), then restarted with same hang.

ok, it was the bootloader. Found a way to update the bootloader and got it booting successfully now.

Hi guys,
after years of stable service, my TF201 suddenly entered into bootloops (Katkiss v29 before).
I was unable to load TWRP recovery at first.
So I did a : fastboot format cache. No effect.
Later I succeeded in flashing Kang TWRP 3.1 again (and 2.8.x, same effect) : I cannot wipe or mount any partitions. It seems logic as I see that only 2 partitions are left in the internal sdcard (/dev and /tmp using terminal and : df command).
All /system, /data and /cache seem to have vanished.

Could you give me the layout of your internal memory so I can try to recreate and reformat the partitions ?
Or do you think it won't work and I should move on to the NVflash restoration right now (I'm quite anxious) ?

Flash pico 7.1 GAPPS can then log into google OK. The problem comes when I try and install anything from the Play Store, I simply get an error 963 regardless of the app.

Thank you for the great work. The ROM works well. Is there support for HD in Netflix? I only get really poor video quality. Youtube on the other hand works in 720p. I thought that this worked in the past but maybe Netflix has upped the requirements.

I dont see any flashlight (torch) toggle in quick settings menu
I have this toggle in previous katkiss 6.0.1

For now i prefered to back to katkiss 6.0.1 as it dosnt have mentioned problem.

Please fix flashlight toggle in next update of katkiss 7.1.2 (v32)
