There are some apps one can use as spen replacement apps. At first you need NoteBuddy and CM Spen Addon, both are free apps and available in googles playstore. For notes I commend Squid, LectureNotes and Google Keep with Sketch addon and for drawing I'm using Handraw, AutoSketch, Skeido and Sketch3D, but these a more for technical drawings apart from Handraw. But there are many more spen compatible drawing apps available.
There are also apps available which brings full spen functionallity and more to CM roms, like GMD Spen control. An AirCommand replacement app was banned from playstore and is only available as direct download. But I don't remember the link, sorry! Both are paid apps by the way.
I've been using Squid for notes, which, generally speaking, seems to work well with nice features, but I still struggle to use the pen properly and have full palm rejection, smooth lines, etc.

Do these apps bring that functionality back of the spen?
Is this the AirCommand app you were referring to - http://www.emandt.net/Android/SPenCommand/Website/
Any feedback on how this works with current ROMs for our P600?

I tried to use SpenCommand without success.
Getting contact with the developer, he said that the app not support the last kernels.

I'm trying to find a app that emulate in a good way the air command function of our Note 10.1.

Very appreciated if someone could suggest and app.

Slow charging

I installed this rom, and I can't figure out why it won't charge at a decent rate. It went from 10% to 35% in about 9 hours. Any fixes I can do? I'm running the latest build, gapps and kernel. I did a full wipe before install

@RoxasTheNobody

Install Deathly Aduitor free from playstore, start it, promt superuser when the window pops up, tap okay and then menu(upper left corner), choose battery and set the changer current to 2.100mA. At last activate the "apply on boot setting" in the upper right corner. If you still get slow charging reboot the device one time to make sure the new settings applied successfully.
Below are my settings with the stock charger, with this settings the battery sucks ~1850-1950mA with the original charger.

BTW,
I recommend to try AccuBattery app, it's for free the only app meassuring the actual charging current.
If you want to see more of my settings, let me know!
With my settings, I regularly reach up to 10h SOT and while playing hardware hungry games like RealRacing3, the temperatures remain permanently below 70°C, without getting laggy.

Sorry, but how can i get the OTA-Updates working? In my opinion OTA-Updates are started in a running system, don´t they? On my Note10.1 with RR-N-v5.8.5-20171222-n1awifi-Luis-ota, OTA-Updates are displayed an can be downloaded as *ota.zip, but I can´t start the update. Am I missunderstanding the meaning of OTA-Updates?

Less Wonky Wins Out

I was fully prepared to stay on this ROM after losing my daily driver which was on the AICP ROM. But, this tablet is wonky, and the OTA updates were more stable on the other build.
MeanwhileI have a dead Tablet and a brand new battery that I am not sure about paying someone to install it. ...if THIS one dies, then I will decide. DeanoD

Very happy my battery settings helped. Here are my other settings. I've tested different cpu governors and you get good results(10h battery runtimes) with adaptive, smartmax and darkness governor. Thatcs BTW all changes I've made, the rest of the settings are all stock aduitor settings.

Hi, its been a long time since I have flashed a Samsung device. I am using latest stock ROM. What do I need to do to use this ROM?
It sound like you have already done it and only need a few hints. So in short these are the steps:

Download latest TWRP recovery.tar from @ShefT 's AICP,RR, LOS thread to your PC/laptop
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=529152257862714486
Download Odin flashtool to your PC
https://yadi.sk/d/TwTZ-SsByZcZE
Make sure samsung usb drivers are installed (but uninstall samsung kies update tool)
Make sure you are on lollipop bootloader(if stock 5.1 rom was installed you already have the new bootloader)
Reboot into download mode using Vol- + Powerbutton combi and flash twrp via odin but uncheck reboot option
When successfully flashed disconnect from PC and reboot into recovery using Vol+ and Powerbutton combi
When successfully booted into new TWRP recovery, do a nandroid backup of your current rom first
Now wipe system, data, cache and dalvik and flash the desired rom and gapps package.

There are more detailed how-to's in the general/help and troubleshoot section of the forum if you need.

PS. I hope I did not swap the key combinations and Vol+ and Power button boots into download mode, LOL!.
But you can try it first just to be sure.

You can replace the battery yourself, mate.
Search youtube for "battery replacement for galaxy note 10.1 2014 edition" and you'll find some instructions on how to do it.
I did it myself and it does not take half an hour!

What's In The Box?

Just curious about the ongoing future and releases of this ROM. As I am still seeing regular updates, I would guess that the work is still proceeding forward.
Will this work continue if and when there is a port of an Oreo ROM? Or, will your team efforts shift to working on such a release? For now, I will likley apply this as a daily driver for my trio of tabs. Thanks again for the great work.

Jumping In

I'm back with my torrid tale of trials and tribulations with my trio of tablets.
(Yeah, let Trump give definitions here...) My original tablet has developed a keyboard "stutter", regardless of the apps used. My spare tab overheated, so I wiped it and it seems to be behaving. So, I'm gonna run with this ROM on two units, mine and the wife's(The Boss - she may be in a wheelchair, but I've seen her verbally take down the strongest of men;)
What l'm looking for is input from other tab owners who have tried both the AICP and the RR releases. I've combed the forums and get general info on how the builds are assembled, but I want input from users as well. I think, for now this is the better build and it's still being updated. I am seriously hoping for an Oreo build in the near future, but I have to be patient. Now wish me luck while I reformat the aforementioned Boss's tablet. ;-DeanoD
