Hi guys

I can't connect to 5 Ghz Wi-Fi. My phone can't see it. A desktop and laptop are both ok. It is set to auto. I have tried forcing it to 5 Ghz. Still will not see the network. I do have it set to broadcast SSID. I'm running the 2016-08-26 version (pure_nexus_mako-6.0.1-20160825.zip).

I also notice the ROM seems to be slower than the previous blackbuffalo 2016-01-12 (full erase including storage, no dirty flash). The keyboard is slow to come up sometimes (Google keyboard). Minimising or bringing up recent apps or opening an app can be slow as well. I can live with it but it seemed to be better that it is now. Strangely once a game is loaded it is fine.
Trim has been run from TWRP (I'm not rooted).

Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Have you looked to see if any chances made to the animations in dev settings?

If you can't connect to WiFi and it's not your router then you may want to try another kernel, it's the kernel that handle the drivers (include the WiFi driver).

Quanta Kernel is up-to-date a good kernel to start testing.

The built-in kernel also comes with a power saving default configuration, maybe you notice the ROM is slower because of this.

Just look a page or two behind I posted a few tips for a performance oriented configuration.

Thanks underskyzx. I can connect to 2.4 Ghz networks ok. If I try the Quanta Kernel how do I revert to the stock kernel in the ROM? Do I have to reflash whole ROM?

I will check your performance config on the weekend.

Hi dragos281993
We await you with a pure Nexus 7.1 for Mako
THX
:good:
It looks like Nate Benis made the sources public again, so I have access to them again ( :victory: ). That means he's closer and closer to releasing an initial build. Don't know exactly how long it will take, but as another PN dev said, > the sources will be public again when things are stable enough and an initial build is around the corner < (or something like that). So yeah, exciting stuff.
Anyways, pretty soon, we'll have the beloved PN back on our phones. :highfive:

Once again. Thanks for your continuous efforts keeping our beloved nexus 4s current. And all others for their hard work.

Usually, one does not go and post other people's ROMs in another person's thread. It doesn't make sense considering that the ROMs are slightly different.
However, I'm an indulgent person so I'll let it go. You should've at least written in your comment a quick note or something, saying that Narashima's build doesn't have SnapCamera included and a different custom kernel. Plus that I wouldn't advise people to dirty flash that over my last MM build because they're not based completely on the same sources, making them NOT identical.

@dragos281993,

I know it is prohibited asking for ETA's but I'm very curious if Pure Nexus N mako started? :)

Don't worry, I don't mind being asked for ETA.
As I previously mentioned, PN for the Nexus 4 comes with the "Unofficial" status because the main developer doesn't support our phone anymore. So, whenever an Official build is released for the supported devices, I can compile it for our phone. As there's no official PN N build so far, there cannot be an unofficial one.
But the sources are getting worked on and they look more and more "robust" so we're getting closer and closer to PN Nougat. Nate Benis (the lead dev) wants complete stability before releasing anything.

Hey guys, I'm having a problem with cell signal cutting out when the battery is running low. Usually around 8-15% but today I had it die at 25%. Here's the last kmsg if that helps. Just running the latest plain PNwith the revival kernel it came with.

NOUGAT IS FINALLY HERE !!!

It's almost 6 in the morning here and I have to "wake up" :)p) in 2 hours.
So the long awaited Pure Nexus is here. I suggest you do a clean installation if you're coming from Marshmallow.
***links in the first post***

Small Note: Don't fiddle with the "gamma control" for now or you'll get a purple tint after you apply the preferred profile. Spezi will replace the "Franco colour control" with Faux's soon. If you absolutely need to change the gamma profile, then flash "Revival r02" from Spezi's thread and you'll have no problem whatsoever. In fact, I really recommend flashing that.

SnapCamera is not currently included but it will be in the future builds.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy it.

Cheers !!!

Awesome work, keep it up :good:

I have a small request. Can you please consider releasing the builds with the stock kernel? We can always flash the Revival kernel if we needed that way & the way things are currently, we can't have the stock kernel. Just a small request :)
