Trouble shooting help,

My phone recently been losing network connection and status bar shows “Emergency calls only” until I restart the phone. It appears to be random. Tried flashing ElementalX Kernel however problem still occurs. Please can someone help how I can trouble shoot this without wiping the phone.

I personally don’t think this is ROM related as I’ve been using this ROM for very long times and only last few weeks I’ve been facing this problem.

P.S currently on the latest version of this ROM.

I would check with your carrier. I've had that happen and it had to do with their antennae and another time it happened was because my SIM was no longer registering with specific antennae.

I'm getting the same thing. My data connection keeps going on and off, it's pissing me off. I have to turn airplane mode on/off again to get it working. This is like, the most basic function of a phone, why doesn't it work properly?

I installed this rom today and everything went well. The issue I have is that my cell service provider is no longer identified by their Name - WIND. Instead the display name is shown as HOME and the roaming options as HOME Away. The options showed providers by name before.
How do I tell who I am connecting to if the name of the provider is not displayed. I'm not even sure if I am connected to Wind.
How do I correct this?

Have been happening to me the exact same thing for the last couples of weeks. Out of the sudden no signal several times per day and had to restart the whole phone to recover it. Thought it might be a hardware problem. It seems that it have been resolved flashing bluesparks kernel. Now everything works again and performance wise its OK.

How does bluesparks kernel compare to elemental X?

I prefer blu.spark ( personal opinion )

I have to confess that I was a fanatic of ElementalX until this bug with the cell signal. Exploring solutions, I found bluesparks and I have to say I am gladly impressed with the performance and battery life. On the top of that, it resolved my issue.[emoji3]

Well after a long absence while rebuilding the rom from scratch i am finally pleased to announce the return of purenexus!!
Sorry for the delay in posts on xda, i will be around alot more now, as doing a complete rebase takes alot of time, been working on this for about a month now..

    a couple things to note:
*cmte is deprecated(good riddance), as substratrum from @nicholaschum and the rest of the layers guys is around the corner
*with the deprecation of cmte, now i only have to build 7 builds not 14, which means more updates as i wont have to plan a whole day around it!!
*with a clean flash of the latest purenexus and the latest purenexus gapps android pay is working out of the box 0 user intervention is needed!!
*some mods may be missing, let me know if something that was removed you would like back(other than cmte )
*alot of code cleanup happened with the rebase so things should be substantally more stable, and will also be easier to forward port to N when the time comes

ok ok, Lets get to the goodies!!
