I don't realy want to download any other ROM..
Beans's pure nexus is the most stable one, many others are buggy.
This sure does raise hope.
Do you happen to have the link to the room ?Beans is working on bringing up Android 8, so we are collectively in a holding pattern here. I personally wasn't in the mood to wait, so until Pure Nexus Android 8 is released, I installed Validus ROM. It was the most bug free Android 8 ROM I found, though I did replace the kernel with the one from Republic of Madness as RoM ROM (heh) has quick charging not present in the Validus alpha.
Yes alot of stupid rules on here and nitpicking by some of the mods. But hey whatever.https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/general/validus-oreo-t3685278
Discussion is clearly forbidden if a user makes a thread mentioning it and said thread is closed. Until it's announced by Ground Zero ROMs it cannot be discussed here. At least that's my takeaway on the topic.
The only fix that worked for me is the fotakill apk you can find in this thread.I've actually been having some of the issues Srakd is having but not to the extent he is. My biggest issue has been battery drain and the phone getting these bouts of hanging/laggyness. Phone gets randomly hot in my pocket too. I've tried different setting, Kernel's etc...
It's totally manageable though.
Hope everything is ok with your son..
