it's been 3 days since my sim card has no services, but the simcard still detected the provider. Have any of u ever encountered a problem like me ? I hope this is only rom's bug not my phone
Try cleaning the sim card. Plenty of how-to on google. If cleaning didn't help, get a replacement.

I have never encountered this problem.

Just wanted to say it!

Could be your IMEI is bad or something, not a ROM problem. Why not just go to a store, get a new SIM, and test it out? 3 days of doing nothing is just lazy, no offense :).

To be clear, you're not having a SIM not detected issue, correct? You're just not getting any service?

To those who know more than me (pretty much everyone participating in this thread...haha), could this be a modem issue? I'm on Sprint, so my service settings could be a little different, but I would think that updating the PRL (which is a Sprint thing) could help in this situation. Also, what are your settings under carrier configuration? I've lost service when those settings freaked out for some reason and went international on me or something.

How long have you been on this ROM? If you recently flashed it and then had the SIM card issue, then I've had a similar problem before on a previous couple of versions of this ROM (this past Summer) as well as on the Dirty Unicorns ROM. Finally figured out that it was a kernel issue only with Sprint, so I switched to a 3rd-party kernel and everything worked fine. A couple of versions later the dev corrected it (either coincidentally or on purpose -- not sure which). Cleaning/replacing the SIM card did nothing for me to solve this situation, but your issue is a little different and seems more like a configuration problem to me, but....

Had a similar issue with my wifes stock note 12.2.it took 3 different new sim cards to get it to work.then after a week it stopped again, the explanation i got was the Verizon"system"
For some reason kept thinking it was a s3 not a note12.2, probably not heplfull but just a FYI

Sorry but it seems link is not working to download the file. Tried several times but with no success. Would you have any other link to download?

Better link. Edited my previous post with new link also.

Where we can find this camera app to follow the updates?

I'll see if I can find that out.

Regarding turning off system update notification....

Just put the FOTAKill.apk in system/priv-app with permissions 644. Reboot to recovery and wipe cache and dalvik. Reboot, that's it. Works for me! (Maybe update notification appears after first reboot, just wait or swipe it away)
Can anyone explain how this voodoo works? Seems odd that you don't install the APK. Also odd that there are no other apps in the system/priv-app folder.
TIA

You don't "install" the apk because you can't do an install and end up with the app in the /system/priv-app directory. That directory is reserved for apps that are permitted to run as a system user.

I'm surprised you aren't finding apps in the priv-app folder. How are you looking?
