We need an updated kernel for Oreo. At present forkbomb and some other people are trying to port the updated kernel to the s3 and note 2. There wouldn't be any Oreo until that and it might take a long time. You can check progress here: https://blog.forkwhiletrue.me/pages/midas-mainline/

Rom's stock kernel is quite good, stable and fast.
Some versions of the hybrid kernel, can be a little better, some arent.

I have been using Viper and RR since ages and thought that nothing could beat the ROMs. I never even thought of switching to other ROM after Viper - good battery life and good overall performance.

Then, the other day I read that people were putting CrDroid above every ROM available for the device.

So decided to give it a try.

This is the 5th day and to be honest I am amazed.

I waited to watch battery life which is always a problem with cooked ROMs. On CrDroid it is as quite good - much better than other ROMs for sure.

Then, the performance. Well, for an old device like this, the performance is really up to the mark. I have seen a slight lag which is to be expected given the hardware running on Note II

What I loved most were animations. Simple the best I have seen for the device.

Overall, a great product. Happy to be here.

Quick question for those using this ROM, I tried to update my SHG-I317m to resurrection and or Mokee and looks like I somehow killed my GPS. I assume with this rom all things are working? I am wondering if instead of going back to 4.4.2 I find a rom - newer where everything works and maybe what was updated or changed when I was playing with Resurrection will be fixed? does this sound plausable?

It won't work on your phone. This is for N7100

Go to Settings -> crDroid Settings -> Buttons -> Backlight -> Illuminate buttons.

Clean install is advised for avoiding bugs, dirty flash can be done but it might have bugs

Does proximity sensors are working fine on this rom, in my last rom proximity sensor always gave us the problem. When ever call comes in it will show only blank screen & took more than 10 seconds to show the caller id. is this rom has the same problem?
Please let me know, i am planning to install this rom on my phone.

No, this is in my opinion the best Note 2 ROM.

I found it that sometimes if i watched Youtube videos for quite a while, at some point all all apps that have videos in it (instagram, FB including YT etc) stopped working. To remedy that, i need to resort to restarting the phone.

Anyone experiencing the same issue?

Anw i have tried to clear the cache and ram, but it persists. Does it has something to do with the built-in AdAway? I had it happen since i enable the Adaway.
