I found it that sometimes if i watched Youtube videos for quite a while, at some point all all apps that have videos in it (instagram, FB including YT etc) stopped working. To remedy that, i need to resort to restarting the phone.

Anyone experiencing the same issue?

Anw i have tried to clear the cache and ram, but it persists. Does it has something to do with the built-in AdAway? I had it happen since i enable the Adaway.
This problem is on all android 6+ roms. Cuz HWC is broken.

That explains a lot. I was confused even after switching roms in nougat this same problem still occurs. Can this be fixed in future updates?
It must be rewritten. Forkbomb from S3 thread were doing it with experimental builds , but stopped project because he is working on 4.16+ kernel and oreo rom for our device. Seems new HWC will be included.

Thank you for your job!! :good:
Just a question: is there any way to update realese by realese without loosing data/app/etc and without using backup/restore sw?
Wipe system and cache and dalvik, then flash rom+gapps+root+other things, then wipe cache and dalvik and reboot system

With this way u won't lose any data, and this way works perfectly

I install this zip and wipe only dalvik and cache.
Or what do you mean?

Wonna clarify: version 3.8.5 installed+gapps+apps (including different chats, contacts, other things with their history). Want to update to 3.8.8 without wiping, flashing gapps, apps and restore relative data. Pratically... a rough installation from 3.8.5 to 3.8.8 or later without the best practice written by Marc will give me problems?

Hey @transi1, thx very much for ur hard work to keep our device alive

Can u please share the kernel source using in ur roms??

Because i want to make a new kernel based in this kernel with a lot of new features

Thx bro:)
Judging by the kernel's name, its features, passing safetynet with magisk and the fact that transi doesn't have a note 2 to play with, you can say that it's obviously retro kernel built from makorn's latest source. ;)

There shouldn't be any problems, though you don't really need to wipe system, just wipe cache + davlik cache then flash the ROM (there's no need to reflash gapps either) and root (if other than Los-su and magisk). If your data is important, you still need to make a backup just in case.

I use bulit-in root with the ROM
Okay great. I am too on default root I guess it is lineagesu.. I asked because supersu was recommended in the xda page :) I flashed sauron and jamesDSP... on each settings change in the jamesDSP app, it asks me to reboot the device. :D anyway I have not still rebooted the device... I have lot of things to install cause I lost my earlier backup :( and I just clean flashed latest crDroid :cowboy: ... so after installing all those things I will see what it brings good :D
