You can't believe how pissed of I am right now. I literally want to cry.
My friend, how could a ROM kill a phone ?

It's not impossible, but too many users - including me - have already installed that ROM without problems.

If your phone died it's probably a hardware problem and it has to be a coincidence or else we are all in danger!

Most of our Note II phones are very old devices, I bought mine on the first week of November 2012.

Leave the battery out for a few minutes and try again.

I can believe.
I lost my Galaxy S2 and years later my Nexus 6 with my data.
I learned to make a better backup strategy and also loved my phones. :(
Weird that the Note 2 of my family member still works, nice old lady. :)
I'll took my phone to repairer. I hope he can fix it.

Now, it won't even start and it won't charge. Seems like my phone is dead :/
My phone also died, I installed new update 3.8.8 and now my phone won't even boot. Thank you for this...
Since we have two incidents, maybe it's not a coincidence.

A soft-brick is something that occasionally can happen.

But you describe a hard-brick which happens when you try to install a wrong ROM not suitable for the hardware of your phone or when you mess with the bootloader or similar things.

In almost all cases it's user's mistake by not following flashing orders or doing something really stupid (we could all do that)

It could also be a developer's bug (a bug in the ROM) but this is not the case here.

So it could be a hardware failure or a hard-bricked phone.

In either case consider the choice of just buying a new phone if the repair doesn't worth its cost.

I did came from another ROM ( http://tilak.sergix44.ovh/n7100/ ) which hasnt updated since 10/2017

I did install
- the ROM version 3.8.8 ( crDroidAndroid-7.1.2-20180716-n7100 )
- open gapps ARM 7.1 pico
and
- SuperSU 2.8.2
and it does work without any problems.
