This is the Easiest way to root Samsung Galaxy Note 3 LTE (SM-N9005) KNOX 0x1!​

ATTENTION PLEASE:

- All ROMs from post #1 & #2 WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY!!! KNOX 0x1!!!

Think twice before flashing.

- You MUST keep your Region Code (XXU... or ZHU...), check your FW before flashing!!

- If your KNOX is 0x1 you can use any Stock/Custom ROM/Recovery

- Use Chainfire's CF-AutoRoot if you want to root your existing Stock ROM. (KNOX 0x1)

- Custom Recovery is NOT included. If you need one, you will need to install it separately. (KNOX 0x1)

- DO NOT use CF-AutoRoot for Pre-Rooted ROM's as it can mess things up!!
Use it ONLY for OFFICIAL STOCK ROMs​

Main benefits of using this method are:​

- FULLY ROOTED
- No need for Insecure Kernels.
- Complete, Odin flashable Packages.
- Can be used on Non-Rooted devices.
- Binary Flash Counter will NOT increase
- Use Wanam Xposed to keep SYSTEM/DEVICE as OFFICIAL
- Only 1 file and you have a complete firmware including Root permission.
- Fully working KIES & OTA updates (FYI: root will be lost after software update)​

Flashing instructions:​

​

1. Install KIES or USB drivers from here
2. Download and run Odin from here (v.3.04 is recomended)
3. Make sure that ONLY AutoReboot & F.Reset Time is ticked in Odin options
4. Download and extract one of Pre-Rooted ROM's
5. Load extracted file (.tar.MD5) as PDA in Odin.
6. Turn OFF your phone, Press&Hold POWER+VOLUME_DOWN buttons until phone boot into Download/Odin Mode
7. Connect phone to the computer and WAIT for the drivers to be installed. You will see blue or yellow indicator in left top corner of Odin, with phone connected to port: COM:x
8. Click START and wait until you see GREEN indicator [PASS], flashing is finished
9. Unplug USB cable and enjoy.
10. If your Device/System Status shows CUSTOM, use Wanam Xposed and tick "Fake System Status"

Hey everyone! After restoring data with titanium backup, simply execute this from the terminal emulator:

su
restorecon -R -v /data/data

And all the problems would be fixed.

Wipe data/cache from Stock Recovery or Factory Data Reset from Phone Settings

If someone want to change CSC, please use Samsung Galaxy S2/S3 CSC Changer (PlayStore)
This app should WORK on ALL Firmwares!! NOT TESTED YET!
After using this app you MUST reboot again into STOCK RECOVERY
(manually POWER+HOME+VOL_UP) for the changes to take place.
You will see message "CSC xxx applied.." and then you can reboot to Android​

It's all about bootloader and NOTHING can be done (atm) You can use CWM flashable ROM's instead..
Maybe in future I'll start making ZHU and VJU FW's as well but it's taking ages...

Latest tests shows that it is possible to go from XXU to VJU but NOT to ZHU and vice-verse..

The phone came with the same rom you posted (baseband version, kernel version & build number), should i be worried about the CSC or anything else because my phone is true unlocked free unlike sim-uk problem.

Not really working

so, i got yesterday the Note 3. all apps running fine etc. but i needed to root it to restore work from my old note 1. followed all the steps in flashing the rom, some apps that need root access work... BUT, 90% of the apps now fail to open, they just close on launch. the ones that manage to open, don't save data. so, i entered in /data/data/com.some.app and set full permissions to everything i found. nothing. it just fails to save data (but i don't get any errors). The ones that close on launch give me a notification saying "an application has been forced to stop for an unauthorized attempt to access system in your device. it may be safe to delete an application obtained from an unauthorized route. check now? (cancel/ok)" and if i select ok it opens the app manager. went to security settings and disabled everything i could that might do this and still no success.

so what do i do to make all apps work?

Update SuperSU from PlayStore as I've attached previous one. Worst case scenario, factory data reset should help.

first, earlier today i did
"Note 3 successfully rooted (unlocked bootloaders only)" did http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2460720

theoretically it worked, but like just now, apps don't work. SU is up to date. KNOX flag was 1 after the bootloader thinghie. and yes, the first rom to the n3.

so factory reseting should do the trick?
