Right, it's in after a full wipe and zero apps selected from the installer - just a niggle though - I deliberately didn't select ANT Radio and Samsung beam and push stuff from my "restore from Google" options after reboot but note they are still in the phone - are these necessary to the functioning of the ROM (understanding of course that this is a Samsung-based ROM so obviously SOME things are going to be necessary evils

)?

First impressions of battery survival - WAYYY better than either stock or Ressurection - thanks!

Apn problem resolved

After installing Omega v27 lollipop apn parameters were set to windmobile.ca instead of taking data from sim wind italy
Consequently the internet data connection did not work
Now with internet.wind and mms.wind all ok
Before : internet.windmobile.ca and mms.windmobile.ca

Google play: very serious problem

Google play tells me that i have available updates (eg: 10)
Update everything
All apps are upgraded
When I turn off and then reboot the phone google play tells me that I have 10 updates available (and are the same apps)
How to solve it?

You need to know how to
1. root your phone
2. install a custum recovery to replace the orginal one(sometimes root and custom recovery comes toghether)
3. read how to flash a custom rom, like this one( read the OP(opening post on this thread written by the developer of this rom). read carefully everything. Do not do anything You dont fully understand.
most of the procedure is explained in the first posts of this thread...You have to read a lot... use also google and youtube...to see how they do it

also make sure u have the right custum recovery(explained in OP) and all the other requriements also explained in OP of every Rom on XDA. often one need to have the latest boothloader and sometimes modem(often one use Odin(Pc program,see youtube) to install it on Your Phone)

Rule number one again...do not do anything unless You are sure what You are doing is right..You dont want to get Your Phone bricked or loose Your imei number on Your Phone(back it up).

I have not done it in a while so this is just from what I can remember..

This is the best rom I've found and still using it. Too bad omega abandoned it. Would love to see updated version from them.

best rom is RR N ...but with Stock samsung u might be right omega is not Bad
