I did notice however that you're using the N900W8's MI5 build for your RIL package, but there's a newer MJ1 out - if you let me know which file(s) you need I can extract them and throw them up somewhere.

You're using the internet browser? That is Samsung's downgraded aosp browser I believe. Have you tried using aosp browser installer from the play store? Works great and has all the original features.

I use chrome, mostly, but sometimes i use the stock browser when Chrome doesn't work. But i know other people are going to ask, so want to nix this now.

The CSC and the RIL files are optional, but you are correct: If you want to flash them, that would be the order.

The MJ6 update has some Universal CSC changes. I would suggest clean flashing, but make a backup and dirty flash and let us know what you get. Give the phone 15 to 30 as a habit, to make sure there are no issues. I've found out that the phone can seem like it's working then after 15 min or so will start crashing or bootlooping. .

As for ATT Ril, i'll help Miscom look for that.

Anybody has stock file for ATT and of course is on att. send me the following files and i will make a flashable ril

Test this RIL out on ATT and make sure it works please. Please re-lable with current baseband so that you don't get it mixed up with later RILS

BTW, what should I expect. The first time flashed mj3 I flashed Tmob RIL. didn't realize I didn't have phone calls til after work when I needed to make phone calls. Wiped everything and flashed mj3 again without RIL. Phone worked again. And forgot to add had no problems with data on any mode. Hspa and lte worked fine and seemed similar performance with and with RIL flashed. What should I expect now?

we figured out that was a problem with mj3. guess that's why mj6-8 popped up so fast.

Just flashed. Problems with phone again. And Bluetooth. Keep getting popup Bluetooth share won't work. And Bluetooth won't turn on. I am going to try flash without bt patch and without att RIL.

K. What about supersu zip? And att ril earlier I only tested about 5 mins but it did seem I was getting better reception. I get **** reception at my apartment on att and tmobile. I was getting A <-- (emphasis on a bar, btw cuz i dont get crap) bar and data seemed to load a little bit quicker than having no bars.

Lol. Seems flashing RIL borks my phone. Any chance miscom can add Google tts speech engine so we don't have to do that manually each flash? I gotta do that and swap capacitive buttons every flash and a couple other things but I figure everybody wants Google tts to have the Google woman's voice rather than robotic s voice, or at least most everybody. At the very least, both options will be there each flash.

Oh and I tested while longer. Data or reception doesn't seem to improve. I watched the signal status and numbers were consistent without flashing RIL. Just seemed signal bar was showing a bar rather than none more.often.

Sorry about that. I forgot to remove the BT Flash and SU Flash from the steps at the bottom of Post #1.

The patches are not needed anymore as I have applied them to the ROM.

OK. That's what I thought. Thank you very much. The att RIL didn't do anything but cause phone problems similar to the TMob RIL patch. Just gonna roll like this.

BTW, was anybody having a bug with email app? I kept my sync set to manual but I still get push notifications. Driving me up the wall. Hopefully mj6 addressed it. Don't know yet.
