So I tried flashing the odex zip on my rom 1 slot and it failed. It didn't even start flashing. Am I missing something? This is my first time using safestrap.

I downloaded the odex rom on the computer and I could not transfer it to my sdcard? Anyone know a possible reason? I tested transfering an apk and that worked fine.
Thanks so much!

Just want to confirm: its ok to flash this while still on MI9? Or must we be on MJ7 to flash?

Wondering because I've been rooted and everything is fine. Kinda blah about flashing MJ7 and re-rooting with all this kingo root mumbo jumbo. Of course if I have to obviously I will upgrade. But if possible would rather flash from MI9. Sorry for the redundancy, just making sure everything is kosher as this is my first SafeStrap endeavor.

I might be wrong, but as far as I'm understanding you should be able to flash anything to your rom slots and run on them. As long as it's using the same Kernel. Mj7 uses the same kernel as mi9 so it'll safely boot on alt rom. However if another stock update changes the kernel then only roms based on that kernel will be usable. Maybe someone can chime in and confirm this?

All of you in here do a backup? I don't have a ext. SD card and I do a backup in safestrap on stock and it shows in restore menu. But after I activate rom slot 1 the backup is gone and it shows ext.sd card in restore menu. I've tried numerous times and same thing. So stock rom shows internal but the rom slots show ext. I'm lost here trying to figure it out. I can locate the backup but where do I move it to access it in restore menu? Thanks

Not sure how to help but I would suggest getting an ext card.. it's a better safety net for a backup if something does snafus your phone. a 16gb card is about the same as a latte.

The new odex is doing the same thing. It says failed to open zip. Any ideas? I left my room slot on the default sizes 2500mb 2500mb and 300mb or something like that.
