I just flashed the PK1 ROM and completed the setup wizard, then rebooted to TWRP and tried to flash DTUX V 9.0 but TWRP errors and says it failed to map the .ZIP file.
Can anyone tell me what could be causing this?
I'm excited that I can use this ROM with TextNow since custom ROMs don't work without various Sprint services running which TextNow relies upon for their data plans.
I'm gonna check the MD5 of the ZIP file again but I'm not sure why TWRP would fail to map the file. I've never seen this error before when using TWRP.
I flashed TWRP 184.108.40.206 and the DTUX modset installed with no issues. Thanks for the help. I was wondering why a newer version of TWRP wouldn't handle a file that older versions will. That seems odd.
Anyway after installing the modset I found that TextNow no longer works. I was hopeful that I could get away with using this modset since the ROM is still basically stock. TextNow's data plan doesn't work with any custom ROM that I have tried. Their support staff have told me that TextNow relies upon Sprint background services to function so it's not compatible with custom ROM's.
This is disappointing but TextNow is a really cheap provider. I guess I'm stuck with minor mods to my Note 4 firmware.
