Ok guys if you have had a Note 1, 2 or 3 you may be familiar with my Sweet ROM series. Sweet ROM was the very first Note 4 custom rom released on either platform.
Those of you that know my Sweet ROM's from Note 1 will know I generally build a full ROM. I like to keep all the Samsung apps etc in. Users can delete what they want to lighten the ROM if they wish and know what they are doing.

INSTALL

[*]You may want to do a backup of your data apps etc. I have made a quick guide HERE on how I backup and restore my apps in under 10 minutes after a data wipe
[*]Make sure you have backed up your imei (efs). There are a number of apps that do this. Refer Themes & Apps or Original Development XDA thread for Note 4. Keep in a safe place. (If done on previous version no need to do it again if kept in safe place)
[*]Download & place Sweet Rom V18 zip on internal or external SD Card
[*]I used twrp recovery from HERE
[*]I am COI2 5.1.1 bootloader. You may need to be on it to flash this rom. I haven’t tested from 5.0.1 bootloader so I can’t comment if that will work
[*]Do a nandroid backup of your current rom
[*]Wipe data / factory reset
[*]Flash Sweet ROM V18
[*]Reboot & do a little dance, pat your head and rub your tummy at the same time while you're waiting for it to boot. Be patient as it takes a lot longer due to ART
[*]Enjoy

NOTES

The modem is not included in this rom. You will keep your current modem. To change modem flash with cwm. Modems available in Post#3
This is a N910U Exynos ROM and will NOT work on N910C or N910H versions.
This rom is built for standard dpi. If you wish to change it that is fine but I don’t take requests to fix dpi issues
I cooked this ROM for my own personal enjoyment and it works for me. *What works for me may not work for you. I merely put together what I like and use. If you don't like it then please don't flash it or even download it as it costs me personally for file hosting.

Yes thats my feeling to but its too early to know yet until all firmware has been released and looked at. We also need to know the mount points for the various exynos variations too though this mounts through sbin and not specific ext4", "EMMC", "/dev/block/mmcblk0pXX" points.

Also check with a root enabled file explorer the kernel path. Go to dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/ and check the mount points for your device. If you have "boot" in this path you should be fine to flash this. This uses "/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/boot" for kernel flash.

This rom doesn't include the modem so you will keep yours.

Working fine here, N910U Hong Kong version. Nice to have a rom that doesn't start the user setup in Chinese (even if it is just a simple drop-down

).

No worries. Seeing as stock roms are available and I'd already rooted I didn't think there was too much risk

I can't see anything that's obviously not working, root seems to work better now with your rom (it took a long time to pop up with the request to grant root every time - sometimes so long the app would time out and assume it didn't go through), but that might have been my fault for not setting something up properly in the first instance.

I was a little confused as to what 2degrees was until I did a quick google - New Zealand telco - makes sense now.

I dunno why there's no Samsung Chinese IME input in it, can i have a file to install or what should i do about it? Coz i use Chinese input all the time.

P.S. I think should be coz the Handwriting Recognition only can recognize English, can u doing something about it so that can support Chinese as well?

Thanks for the feedback. I will remove 2degrees in next build. Its a bit hard to see what bloat is in there without having it on my device yet, ha ha. Any other carrier/country specific bloat to remove?

Sorry, I removed the chinese ime apk. HERE you go see if this works. Place in system/app and set permission 0644 or rw-r--r-- then reboot.

Not sure if this will work but you could also try THIS chinese ime theme I got from another Note 4 version firmware
