Debloating is easy. Making hotspot function as native Android should be doable.
Some of the bloat I'll remove completely and I can keep some of the other stuff (like Google and Samsung apps) making it removable.
As far as multisystem, I'll look into it but that may be over my head. Before this I had modded some HTC Roms but never on my own. And there seems to be no interest at all from other experienced devs to work on this device since the user base is so small (which is understandable). I posted in several forums and send a coupld PMs while trying to learn to do this and got 0 responses.
Wow, that would be nice. I've seen real devs take firmware from similar devices and make them compatible with other phones but I can pretty much guarantee I won't reach that level while I still own this phone.
Thanks for the input guys. Keep it coming. I may get some time to work on it tonight if my wife don't catch me. She's still upset about me spending the 3-day weekend on it. shhhhhhh
Lmao, I got your back. I saw nothing.
With MultiSystem, it's just an app that the rooted user can install. You most likely won't get a response as our device isn't officially supported. But the Note 4 is supported. My Edge is all stock on 4.4.4 Official Dev Edition and I have installed it just not the binaries yet. I have tried to install it on android 4.1.2 and it will not. From what I understand of MultiSystem, it's supposed to be "for all devices". I'm guessing it's pointed toward device's running KK and higher.
I have not tested yet as my phone's os is basically one of a kind, and have not had a way to really fix it other than a recovery. The official dev edition firmware will never be released says Samsung reps and so I'm super careful with what I have done and will do with the device. That being said, maybe someone here with a replaceable os would be willing to give it a shot.
If so, then a new thread for MS Note Edge Dev would be in demand.
Sorry for the Essay here. Continue on, major props brother.
