Hey Troy I was going to make an Note 5 rom based off your deodexed version, with all the S8 features and tweaks, however this seems to be pretty much exactly what I was going to do, Have you tested this rom out, I see you are mentioned in the thanks above, so I wasn't sure if you had anything to do with the building of this rom or it's based off your Deodexed rom ? If so are there any issues you encountered, such as the Apps Edge feature?

Yes it is based from the deodex build I posted. I did flash it and it seems to be ok but it will need some TLC to get it proper for Sprint (csc REALLY should have been XAS at the very least for this to be released for our variant). I haven't been able to test it for our carrier yet though either.

will replacing the csc folder in system in this from overwriting or replacing it with yours from your deodexed version, fix that issue?

It should but there is also the cscversion file in the system folder that should get swapped out as well. Give em a try and let us know.

I just checked, they left those two files intact so no need to swap them out.

I just swapped out the two files. The CSC and the apn-conf.xml with the one from your Rom tdunham. I rezipped the file and flashed. Everything works. BIXBY, edge functions, the S8 apps. The only thing that maybe an inconvenience to some is there is no Wi-Fi calling and you can't update profile or prl. If you can live without, this is your rom. Excellent work. Thanks radeonmaya.

had to uninstall supersu since it wasnt showing that the phone was rooted. install magisk and got root permission. however cannot get permission to uninstall any system app or use root explorer

Supersu works,it just takes a minute to grant root. You should go back and install busybox to be able to uninstall system apps.

I might get around to making my own rom with all the features from the S8, although I don' t know when that'll happen with my schedule going on.... this has some issues, and for the sprint users who want this they'll want the sprint items like the ability to update prl/profile, there are glitches here and there, it's laggy at times and some of the S8 features do not work like they should. I would either wait for an updated version with everything working and things added that this one is missing.

Hi, this is random but, I'm a 3rd year computer science student and have been developing since like I was 12 and I really want to get into building roms, and building what you described sounds like a really good starting place (using Dunhams build as a starting place etc). I have my build env set up and an ide and adb etc setup but I don't really know where to start. If you have any spare time tonight, could you give me a quick run down on what needs to happen? I can get it done as long as I know what 'It' is, i feel.
