Are there changes on this update besides from TWRP?
Hopefully smart lock is fixed

This ROM may potentially solve some issues as I stopped using XMLs which come from S8's CSC package (starting from v5.5 there are original XMLs only, just unencrypted - see changelog)

dolby is not working in this rom? Any idea how to fix.??? ;( please help

Personally I do not use sound mods at all, but (reportedly) Viper4Android works (I mean V4A Magisk's module). This ROM contains stock (enforcing) kernel, so you can try with a custom kernel (but I have no idea which one I should recommend in your case)

Wish kernel I need to install I have try all version of Dolby and none of them don't seem to open keeps crashing Error Dolby has Stopped this is very fustrating and V4A is working fine for me also with the stock kernel except Dolby or Dolby Atmos please help me fix this I really love sound Mods not having it on Oreo Sucks some one has to fix this or am never going to use Oreo ever again totally disappointed about this please fix

As far as I remember - you changed root solution to SuperSU. It may be a reason... in my thread for S9/S9+ a few persons reported battery drain caused apparently by SuperSU after a deeper investigation (unfortunately, this is the only root solution working @ S9/S9+ at the moment)

1. Create /system/priv-app/AppLock directory
2. Download THIS APP, then rename it to AppLock.apk and then place it in /system/priv-app/AppLock directory
3. Add following line to /system/omc/{your_csc}/cscfeature.xml:

<CscFeature_SmartManager_ConfigSubFeatures>roguepopup|autoclean|autorestart|applock</CscFeature_SmartManager_ConfigSubFeatures>

[TIP: you can also add this line to your customized options.prop file placed @ /sdcard or /external_sd (more info about customization methods you will find in post #1) - then it will be added in every future DevBase ROM update / re-flash]

4. Reboot the phone... done


EDIT: Personally last tested it @ G935F. Above method (reportedly) does not work @ Note8 (see post #273)

Some on needs to fix the problem with Dolby not working or I will never use Oreo never again this sucks Since Root started I always use Sound Mods on any Android Version this is the first time I ever see something like this problem happens on any Oreo Rom for Note 8 this sucks eventually some one. Could come up for a fix for this Having No Dolby Sucks Smh

I downgraded to 5.2 and seems the heating and battery issue is gone, i also think su is the issue.
Magisk cause random reboots and sometimes loses the root.
Might as well go rootless ?

If you are focused mainly on Audio effects - most probably you will like more @Mentalmuso's WETA ROM (seems like Dolby support is work in progress there, according to #1)

We just need to wait for topjohnwu (who serving military service at the moment)... I can't help for these kind of problems - these are common also in other ROMs.

Searched in google..many people lost their network that way..so i guess that's not only me... and speaking of battery drain I'm currently using NK kernel 220 and having a great performance and battery..thanks for that...
and applock can be found on playstore.. that's not a deal bro..thanks anyway.

What phone and OS are you on?,I have applock working on both 935F and 950F 7.0 but the file paths are different on each.
