Installation was a snap, I'm on N960F/DS and DBT CSC. Your rom was the only rom that has a single zip to flash, super easy and highly recommended to everyone looking for root.

hopefully some dev's will use your base and tweak and mod according to what they need. It's a great base just like all your previous work!!! [emoji3][emoji106]

Thread has been updated (N960FXXS2ARH6 DevBase ROM has been re-uploaded)
No changes in the installer (still v5.9), just some minor changes:

- Added "App Lock" feature (Settings -> Advanced features)
- Added "Official" device status MOD (need your report)
- Extended KNOX removal list in options.prop (potential fix for SPAY for Gear, @TheUndertaker21 - please test & report)

DIRTY FLASH OVER INITIAL (TEST) VERSION IS ENOUGH :)

Thank you so much - finally after being forced to wait out the OEM Unlock for 7 + 7 days I managed to flash your ROM just now and everything flashed without a hitch...and OEM Unlock option is permanently present in Developer Menu...one ROM I had flashed earlier messed me up badly and got me into "binary error" mode and I had to flash ODIN a Stock ROM, and wait again for another 7 days...sigh...I had missed my root :)

The binary error hmm you forgot OEM unlock before you flashed something?

So reading the below from OP:
Wipe data is NOT required if you are coming from stock ROM (already rooted) or a previous version of my DevBase (if you leave "Keep current CSC" option untouched in /options.prop or if you choose same CSC as you are currently using). In other cases - wipe data is highly recommended!

So im running stock untouched system which i have been using for a month, i just need to flash TWRP and flash the rom zip without wiping, and then i just boot back up and all is good in the world with everything intact?! Sounds too good to be true almost :D

I would wipe anyway, just to cross off dirty flash as a potential cause of a problem.

Currently with TWRP magisk rooted PDA N960FXXU1ARH5, CSC N960FOXM1ARGD, baseband N960FXXU1ARGC .
I see all xda custom ROMs need PDA at least ____ARH6 .
As there is no "N960FXXU1ARH6" for my PDA N960FXXU1ARH5 to upgrade to according to sammobile,
what other region of higher PDA version eg. ____ARH6 can I (dirty) flash my current N960F ?
Sorry if this is mere basic knowledge as my last flashing was on S3 lol

If your phone is not rooted yet (pure stock) then you can't dirty flash this ROM, because you will be forced to wipe data to after enabling OEM unlock. Even if you will not do it - access to the stock encrypted data is not possible with custom binaries. If you would like to encrypt your data - you will need to do it after installing any cystom binaries.

That's why I have written "already rooted"

Don't worry about the fact that for your CSC the ARH6 firmware has not been released yet. If your CSC is listed in post #1 - you can flash this ROM without any problem.

Note: downgrade to U1ARH5 will not be possible due to new bootloader prefix (S2)

Download ROM

SM-N960F/DS:
>> N960FXXS2ARH6_DevBase_v5.9.zip << (Android 8.1, updated Sep-27-2018, more info HERE)
>> SM-N960F/DS repository (recent ROMs & BL/CP packages) << (MEGA)

Note 1:
My ROM is all-in-one combo - it will flash also the newest bootloader (BL) and modem (CP), unless you intentionally skipped BL/CP update (methods are described in post #1)

Note 2:
Check MD5 sum BEFORE flash (useful TOOL), because flashing damaged or incomplete ZIP files could (soft) brick your phone! Correct MD5 sum is shown on the AndroidFileHost website while downloading.
Hi,

does this ROM works also on Galaxy S9 /S9+ ?!
Thank you.

I think you maybe better look here:

Hello

I think here in this theme are the guys who care about security and privacy.
I like to inform about a general security issue using rooted phones and TWRP :

TWRP password protection is missing - every stupid idiot can easily start recovery in less than 10 seconds and erase all my data or steal my phone and flash another ROM.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=77741939&postcount=198

Maybe someone here knows a solution to protect the rooted phone?
