You need to be rooted with a custom recovery and on the ndc, nd8 or newer modem. Then just follow the instructions in the first 3 posts of this forum.

Yes, download Terminal Emulator, open the app and type only what's in the quotes:

"su" (enter)
(Grant superuser permissions)
"getprop ro.bootloader" (enter)

The output from this will be your bootloader (post the output here there are a couple variations of this phone). If it is not KitKat firmware then you need to Odin the tar for one of the two and reflash your recovery before you can flash this ROM

Yes, put zip on sdcard wipe data for new rom install then install zip. Always MAKE A BACKUP FIRST.

No problems unless coming from a lollipop rom, then need to wipe all internal data.
As for a backup, just go into philzs and follow menu to back up to sd(internal) or backup to sd1 your external. Then plug in to pc and copy backup to keep just incase its needed later for some reason.

He meant running this ROM with NJ2 firmware. If you updated, you have the firmware and this ROM actually has most of the NJ2 update excluding the kernel, modem, and bootloader.

Ah. I thought he was referring to the kernel and bootloader. It was the kernel I couldn't get to work.

I get way better performance and battery life on KT747 kernel.
