Bootloader Install Method
Note to
@cbrox;
Your method worked like a charm! Many thanks...
For those of you who missed it,
@cbrox was kind enough to share his method of installing the ND8 bootloader via Odin. It was (correct me if I'm wrong, Cbrox
1) Open Odin and uncheck "auto reboot".
2) Odin the Stock ".tar"
3) After it's done installing, hit "Reset" and Odin will reset. Leave "auto reboot" checked this time.
4) Odin Philz.
5) When done, Phone will reboot first into recovery. Philz will ask you if you want to "fix root"? Say Yes. Boot into system
6) Once in stock system, download "SuperSU" from Play Store (thanks,
@Chainfire)
7) Open SuperSU. It will ask you if you want to disable Knox. Tell it "Hell, Yes".
8) Shut down and boot into recovery manually. Install Wicked X v6.0. Watch the magic happen.
Doing this will install the ND8 bootloader and the custom recovery; install root; and remove Knox.
Isn't life great when it works out?
EDIT: I should mention, I needed these instructions because I was coming over from 4.3 and had not yet upgraded anything to ND8. This is only if you are looking to flash Wicked X 6.0 coming from a non-official KK rom. In my case, I was still on Jelly Bean and didn't want to turn my phone into a doorstop.
