Error while making a backup image of /data!

It started doing it after upgrade to 7.2, but I don't think it's related to the ROM. Any ideas?

I had that issue with philz 6.41 but although it said that, the data did restore. Philz 6.48 fixed the issue for me

Thanks. I updated to 6.48, but didn't get a fix. It does create a file, but I have never tried to use one for a backup? Any other ideas? Have you actually used one of the files to make sure it wasn't corrupt?

I was getting that when doing a full ROM restore but everything worked fine and my data was restored although I got the error. When you flashed the new recovery did you reboot recovery afterwards?

Yes, I ported the Xperia Z2 Walkman and Keyboard (I'll probably release both sometime tonight). I'm hoping to have the Back to Kill working soon, and I can't find any good info on the Volume Skip mod (for KK TouchWiz).... But I found lots of cool stuff while looking for it lol.

Also this will work for people for the volume button music controls. I include it in my rom for that purpose and have been using it with no problem.

I just reflashed the 3.48, rebooted into recovery and tried the recovery again. Same error. There is a backup file there, but I have yet to need to flash the backup. I am curious if it would backup, or if it would give me an error.

I've had this happen to me also, it's most likely corrupt data somewhere... If everything is running fine I would say don't sweat it, if you're anxious to get rid of the error the only thing that fixed it for me was a complete wipe and reflash, I may have even needed to Odin back to stock to get rid of it

I am still curious, if the nandroid file that was created that in the backup that resulted in the error would be safe to backup to. Has anyone ever backed up into one of those files. If it works, I'm not worried about, but I don't want test it out.

When it happened to me I did try to restore the backup, it went through the process and halfway through the data restore the phone actually rebooted before the restore was finished and wouldn't boot up... If I were you, unless you have the time I wouldn't try restoring any backup that failed at any point because I assure you, you will be starting fresh (which you probably want to do anyways)

I had the same thing happen a couple of weeks ago. I tried getting some help over in the Philz Recovery thread but there's some d1ckhead over there that's pretty insulting to everybody who asks questions, well, unless it's his question. In short, I never got my question answered.

I tried a few things but in the end l reinstalled the ROM. Now I see that it ended up being an issue with Philz 6.41.

I made a tool smart eye for all you tool fans out there. I couldn't catch a screenshot of it because of how quick it comes and goes, and I also don't have a picture of it anymore. So you'll have to just flash it to see it. Lol as with everything back up first!

I would use the xposed module heads up notification instead. It has more features and its not wanam [emoji3]
