I have issue with camera where phone turns black after taking a picture. I'm not sure if its off or something else but I have to pull battery to restart. I'm on 7.3 and about to update to 8.0? Is a data wipe necessary or wiping dalvik, cache sufficient? I'm hoping just upgrading to 8 will fix it,

I've been getting the same battery if not better. Just set the same settings and do what ya did here and your good. But make a backup just incase ...

I literally just took about 200 photos and videos at the state fair last week without issue.... So this should fix anything that may have been corrupted....

But....

My recommendation to anyone having an issue BEFORE installing a ROM/Update....

Make a backup of user installed apps only ..... That means the apps in data/app folder....

And do a clean install...... Then restore user apps like normal.

At least that's my experience...

AND TRY THIS BEFORE POSTING A BUG... IT MAY BE SOMETHING FROM A PREVIOUS INSTALL CONFLICTING WITH THINGS.

I think you might wanna check your md5sum. No one else has reported those problems. And if you did a dirty flash, try a clean flash.

yup it seems to like to change it self to none when i choose something other then ripple effect didn't feel like reporting this problem cause it was not a deal breaker for me

do you have power save turned on? that disables haptic feedback no matter what you have it set as... you can go into powersave thru settings or tap and hold the quicksettings tile and check the settings.

But I did flash the 8/17 full PCB theme over the WXv8 update. Wanted the different digital battery with the battery bar underneath that comes stock with the full PCB theme. On the Haptic setting; make sure its selected to on, cause on mine the default was off...cbrox

Not seeing that issue, i've rebooted into recovery multiple times and just rebooted multiple times and the locks screen choices remain selected. You might want to re-download the rom and do another clean install...cbrox

ok. so here are two versions. notice in the monaj version, there is something over the signal bars... its supposed to be a signal strength indicator... but it blends in with the blue signal bars... working on a fix... and to change the pink color... but its still good and you can barely see the thing over the bars....

Both are already themed pcb blue.

And both indicators disappear completely if you turn off BOTH mobile and wifi.

Hey just learned something.... The monaj speed indicator is actually 2(or 3) mods in one...

Blue shows the amount of data USED since you turned on mobile data...

Pink is the actual network speed (keep in mimd this was written when jellybean was first popular)

And on the signal bar (mime hides it) you get an ASU number to indicate your signal strength (better indicator than the actual bars)

Going to change my data icons to see the last one.... But all in all... Its a pretty nifty mod...

Can i ask your help on the right cable for my s3. I bought this cable from amazon BlackBerry USB Cable Micro USB 1.0m (Black) but its not snug and i have to play with it to charge my phone

I ordered a new samsumg cable like the one that came with the phone but it turned out to be worse than the wore out ones I already had. I'm using a LG one now is right on... charging and data.
