The problems you're describing really sound like a corrupt data on your internal SD to me, as crazy as it sounds. Would you mind backing everything up and giving it a good format or two? I really think it might eleviate some of your problems. That is if you can. I understand if you can't seeing as you're overseas.

I wouldn't be surprised. I've had this phone for just about 2 years now, and I've gone through a few ROMS. As far as giving it a good format, should I just do what I usually do, and format through the philz recovery? Or is there another/better option?

Nope, that should suffice, I always format 3 times... But maybe I'm a little OCD.

New S3? You're not bumping up to a newer version? Or are you getting a new one for testing purposes?

Also, I've wiped the Dalvik, Cache Partition, and Data/factory reset 5 times each now. About to throw the rom on.
Did you wipe the internal SD card (after backing up all the important stuff, of course)?

Sorry to hear about your phone.

I just assumed that is what it was doing? By internatl SD, you are referring to the phones memory correct? I can hook my phone up and delete everything except the Android folder.
Yes that is what it is doing but the internal SD is separate. If you go in the PC and right click and hit format (fat32). You can also do it from within the Memory Settings on the phone or in Recovery. Apps like to store a lot of junk there.

Alright, just so I am clear here. I can hook my phone up to my laptop, right click the phone, and format it to fat32?

Edit: I cannot do that, actually. There is no format option when I right click the phone memory. I'm looking through philz recovery now, for what you were talking about.

Edit 2: lol.. I found the format storage/sdcard1 option. Fat32 is not on the list, but exFat is. So is vfat. I'm going to do exfat.

Edit 3. /storage/sdcard1 Is the external SD card. So I formatted the wrong thing. I'm not seeing any other sdcard options for fomatting. This is what I do:

Go to recovery
go to Mounts and Storage
My options:

unmount /sysyem
unmount /cache
unmount /data
unmount /storage/sdcard1
format /boot
format /system
format /cache
format /data
format /storage/sdcard1 <---Ran this one.. Oops. lol
format /modem
format /data and /data/media (/sdcard) <--- I ran this one, as it was the only one that mentioned sdcard
mount USB storage

Just got my note 4. Hangouts calling with and without video works with note 4 but not s3..

Wicked X s3 is smoother than stock note 4... Thank you Ryan and all the other developers :good::good::good:
If its a sprint note 4 root it and drop tx_dbs_tx's stock hybrid edition rom on it(deodexed or odexed versions). You want be disappointed. So much smoother than stock! Like butter man... cbrox
