if you used apps to download the mp3's and the folders under the download section were created by said apps then you won't be able to permanently delete those folders till you uninstall those apps.....but if that's not the case i would format just like Ryan stated before me
You may be on to something. My routine was to click on a link to a streaming mp3 using Dolphin, choosing download instead of play live, and then creating the folder from within Dolphin. I'll try uninstalling Dolphin but I can't imagine how that would prevent a folder from being deleted but I'll report back.

Update: Dude you were absolutely 100 percent correct. That's crazy! I uninstalled Dolphin, deleted the folders (for the hundredth time), rebooted and they were still deleted. Really slick troubleshooting. Thank you @6th_Hokage

Short, overly broad explanation. When Goggle released KK, apps were only allowed to modify files that the had actually created. Great for security, PITA for every thing else. I've found files on my external sdcard that had to be deleted on my computer with a 'rm -rf' command.
Hmmm, may have to see if I can do that from android terminal next time.

So I've got about 4 mods that I've added, now I gotta find some more stuff that we don't have... And figure out how to shut off that dang USB connect sound. I also think I figured out the reason some are getting random reboots, there's some missing sanitation checks on the system server process and it causes the process to crash resulting in a reboot. I've been able to duplicate it a few times, just gotta figure out a fix for it now.

Just thought I would share these.
For people like me, whose eye sight is not as good as it used to be.
I made some simple animated batteries with just the numbers showing,
in the wide format, for the Gurple and Red Buttered theme's.
Numbers when charging are purple on Gurple and red on Red Buttered.
Tested on Wicked X Bare Bones

Flash in recovery.

Yep, I set it up with Google voice and only use it for texting and calling... Works great and because I have it integrated with Google voice I have a number so people can call me even if they don't have hangouts... Saving us a lot of money.. Lol

How do you configure the phone to receive calls? I no longer have cell service on this phone. I installed Google voice, hangouts, and hangouts dialer. I can make calls but not receive calls.

You have to set up hangouts to use your Google voice number, then when someone calls that number it'll ring through into hangouts (works on the computer also)

I can't get my Google Voice account to work properly since I went to prepaid. It doesn't pick up anything, texts or voicemails. I can't figure it out. It worked flawlessly when I was with Sprint. Do you have just the free account? Or did you port your number to GV?

Thanks for the screen shot. I uninstalled voice, hangouts and dialer then reinstalled with your settings and now I can receive calls.
