I keep getting a system update alert. how can i get rid of it?

Just pull down the notification bar and then long click the system update, then uncheck the notification box. Easy as that.

On 12.1 I was having issues maintaining a network connection so wanted to try this. I wiped things per the first post and installed but can't seem to boot past the animation. Wipe the internal SD (/data/media). Lollipop encrypts data on the internal SD and causes a bootloop when flashing KitKat.

No biggie, just a little something we can do for the devs that keep our favorite devices the envy of our non rooted friends (basically everyone I know looks at me like I'm a wizard because I root and flash roms, lol).

So far it's a great rom. I still can't load themes to it. It has to be something with the phone.

Also my Gmail keeps closing. I updated Google services and reinstalled gmail. But it didn't fix it.

No, I no longer have this device. As for Gmail, no clue... I've always used the stock email. Try removing Google account and readding.

Boot to twrp recovery 2.8.7.0
Click wipe
Format data
Type yes
Advanced wipe
System data I ternal storage cache
Install wicked x


Any break in that chain? Do I need a different recovery?

Been using it a long time. It doesn't time out but if the tethering device makes a phone call or is utilizing the Internet, the device using the WiFi will stop the connection while the other device is being used. The tethered device has to be idle.
Ps Themes aren't sticking? What version are you using? Wiped dalvik cache? I find it best to flash the themes over the barebones edition. That way your system will have plenty of space to prevent problems. Then just flash whatever compatible mods you want. ? Cheers ?

When you reboot to recovery dont use the option in recovery. Remove your battery or hold power down to shut it off before rebooting.

This zip is not working for me on NJ2. It "installs" without a problem in PhilZ. On reboot I still get the update warning.

The notification and the Patch are two different things... long press on the notification, hit App Info, then uncheck Show Notifications.
