Thank God still finding some active ATIV S user on the internet, the forum session on WPCentral is almost dead.....

I used registry hack to get my ATIV S enjoying W10M and stays in fast ring all the way to 14977, everything was fine except those known issues. Then I updated to 15007 resulted in bootloop and the problem comes....

I rolled back to WP8.1 then hack again but all I can got is 14393.67 no matter which ring I choose nor which lumia model I hacked as (I've tried 640/830/950/550, changing region won't help, neither), I can see newer build and download them but the download speed is really slow (I have good WiFi at my home and my other devices have no problem whatsoever) and it never finish (the "restart" button won't appear). Same slow download also appears in store app with every app update, it takes hours to download just few MBs update file however using edge browsing the net is quite normal in terms of speed. I've tried to rollback again and proceed a reset after I got 14393 and the problem still exist. I have this issue from build to build so I guess if I can update to other build might solve this issue (like the beautiful 14977....miss it).

This build also gives me significant battery drain (I guess from keep trying download thing from the store) so I'm really keen to move away (forward I hope) from it. Anyone get some trick for me or should I just flash the SPVRom for good? Thanks

Have the same issue for months, every build above 14393 freezed download between 61% and 91%
The Ativ became really warm during that sessions...

i tried to return to Windows Phone 8.1 but when the phone restart it apears a sad face. i think is a UEFI problem, any solution please?

Maybe a damaged ROM flashed? Used a WP8 GDR2 ROM several times without any issues so far...
I would give it another shot, you cannot do anything worse than it is now...

I can flash WP 8.0 but when i upgrade to WP 8.1 i have an error of uefi files :S

Like i said before, no issues so far in more than 20 attempts, several rollbacks to WP8 with updates to WP8.1 or flashing different ROMs by @spavlin so far, sorry ...

Hey bro, I just found the solution from a kindly 950 user at WPCentral.

To avoid the problematic 14393.67 build, you have to rollback and start from release ring. Only this way you can get 14393.953 then you switch to fast ring to get following RS2 build, I've got 15063 rs2_release build by this method.

Its very strange why they leave that build in the fast ring.....

Currently, I'm on the 15208 build. It seems to be ok. Will a ROM be available for this build ? Or perhaps, can I dump my current setup ?!

I re-surrected my Ativ S again over the weekendand and flashed 10.0.15063.297_MMC.
Couldn't get the RS version to work properly and biggest problem was to find out how to properly flash since there seems no clear step by step instruction, since most people having the AtivS (like me also) don't seem to have English as their first language, but at the end I got a working phone with Windows 10.
I tried to stop windows updates, but still don't know how and in the mean time the phone upgraded itself to version 10.0.15063.414, which still seems to work fine whereas the first time I flashed to Windows 10 the update completely ruined the phone.

I have few questions left:
1. The last step, how exactly to enable mass storage? Did all the flashing stuff as described in the first post I think, but I really don't understand what exactly the following steps are that need to be done. (I can see the whole C: drive via USB via my PC, but not as mass storage and can't see the partition details as in the pictures.)
2. How to easily install a registry editor and where to download it, since until now I didn't find an easy or working solution.?
3. Is there a fix for the Maps App? Since at the highest zoom levels the map quality is terrible and don't show the streets anymore at all. Looks like it tries to render them in the first place, fails and shows the maps from a lower zoom level.
4. Is there a file explorer app so I can browse, manipulate and execute ALL the files on the phone?

I have the same problem with the maps app, but I have the original software, no flash rom. I thought it was only my problem... I will do an hard reset and see if it solves.
