Yup. It's not gonna happen overnight. It will take time but yes its entirely possible.

That's totally different nut to crack. There are people currently working on it and have been for over 11 months now. Its locked down pretty tight. Best path for us will be SS + Kexec ~ essentially same thing as having unlocked BL.
What is Kexec? Never heard of it. I googled it, just want to know quick and clear from someone that knows
Great news. I've been waiting for a dev to release the unlock for the Kindle fire hdx 8.9 but he can't because of legal issues. Huge frown face. I even offered 150 bucks out of my own pocket..but legal issues are apparently way more. LOL these bootloaders are getting harder and harder to crack.

Seems basically like a "middleman" that loads before the actual OS where it can be redirected, similar how SS intercepts in a way.
In computing, kexec (abbreviated from kernel execution, and derived from the Unix/Linux kernel call exec) is a mechanism of the Linux kernel that allows "live" booting of a new kernel "over" the currently running kernel. Essentially, kexec skips the bootloader stage (hardware initialization phase by the system firmware, BIOS or UEFI) and directly loads the new kernel into memory, where it starts executing immediately. This avoids the long times associated with a full reboot, and can help systems to meet high-availability requirements by minimizing downtime.
Well its almost the same but can you imagine if we did get unlocked bootloaders ....we could get rid of the system running underneath ss and just flash like the good old days pure rom no bs underneath god I miss the unlocked bootloaders so much lol I fired up the good old note 2 today and want into cwm recovery just to feel how great it felt lol I wish I could find a great rom like this on the note 2 I loved that phone
Does anyone know how to make the screen not turn on when you get a notification I still want the sound but dont want the screen to wake

Wow, you have some that have higher numbers than all mine up together. If you long press on one, it will give you a popup to Google for information about that particular wakelock.

Just wanted to say thanks for the great rom Bri. I finally got my phone back from Samsung after being repaired. Interestingly I think they sent me a new phone. The work order said they just replaced the lcd, but the phone I got back is in way better condition than the one I sent in. Mine had lots of dings on the outer edge and this one looks brand new with the protective film still on it. Maybe they changed that out too, I don't know. I'm just glad to have it back and be back on this awesome rom!
