In the absence of an official CyanogenMod 10.1 Nightly for the Galaxy Nexus (Maguro) I thought I make a thread for discussing the next CM10.1 builds. I'll try to compile a new nightly every day or two, until the official CM10.1 nightlies appear on the Cyanogenmod servers. That way everybody can see the progress of this great ROM and try it for themselves. Please report any bugs here too to help the devs!

Builds up to 2012/12/12 are compiled from the mr1-staging branch
Builds as of 2012/12/13 are compiled from the cm-10.1 branch

Downloads
Nightlies: http://nexfiles.kjonigsen.net/maguro/cm10.1/
Modified GAPPS: http://nexfiles.kjonigsen.net/maguro/cm10.1/gapps-jb-20121212-unsigned-jorgen.zip: It's the same as found on goo.im/gapps, but modified to include Thinkfree. It's not signed, I was too lazy, so turn verification off in recovery

Changelog, relative to the 2012/12/13 build
http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/q/status:merged+branch:cm-10.1,n,z

Credits
All credits go to the Cyanogenmod Team! I'm only compiling their great work
Special thanks to josteink for generously hosting the ROMS

Is this usable as a daily driver yet? I know Cyanogen was very buggy when first compiled.

I'm using it for a half day now, had no problems and don't expect any :)

Runs great (ATM like a stock...)

A lot of features are missing of course but if you don't use them, it' a dayli.

^ The one that works. No kidding, you can try a bunch.

The one that I have right now on AOKP 4.2 unofficial is the one found here (dated November 25) in this Android Development forum.

How long did it take you to sync repos? I've been trying all day, but it craps out after a few minutes. I can wait, so it's not really a big deal but I'm just curious. I'm assuming a lot of people are hammering into it trying to get the source as well.

Any issues compiling? Also, Which tool chain are you using? Thanks.

Syncing the complete repo took some time yes, but once the initial sync is done it's OK.
About my setup: I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 and followed more or less the wiki on cyanogen, of course adjusted to the mr1-staging branch. Nothing special here. Compiling gave me no errors

It looks like the nightly builds have started...

Well, guys, this is it. We finally have official nightlies:)

There is no need for me to make nightlies anymore as they are practically clones of the official ones. I'm glad I could make nightlies for all of you, thanks for using them. Special thanks to josteink for hosting the files:good:

    It's been fun

Unless my server logs are lying, there has been around 9000 downloads of this ROM since december the 4th.

That's roughly 1.5TB worth of CM goodness in one week. Nice. :)

Edit: More sobering numbers: Downloaded from 850 unique IPs. Still not bad userbase for a bleeding edge CM-build!

It's great to see that people are likeing these builds so well! At least I'm not compiling for nothing:)
Leave a thanks for josteink on his post above, these numbers wouldn't be possible without him!

BTW, another build is being compiled atm, this time with forward ported Slide shortcuts, Screen Security Settings and better Quickmessage. These CM guys are doing marvelous work here.

New build is up, this time compiled from the cm-10.1 branch. Also a new GAPPS package is uploaded. See the first post for details and changelog.

All future builds as of now are built from this new branch. Happy testing everyone:)
