[ROM][NIGHTLY][UNOFFICIAL] Unified LineageOS (7.1.2)

Search This thread
Yes, i have the same problem.
An temporary fix:
Edit mixer_paths_tasha.xml in system/etc
<ctl name="RX0 Digital Volume" value="84" />

to
<ctl name="RX0 Digital Volume" value="96" />
Or use the attached zip in recovery

I've applied the patch you provided and straight away it's better on earpiece volume. The issue I have now is receivers of a phone call are complaining that there is an echo when I'm talking.

I don't mind that much as I tend to use wired earphones with a built in microphone but it would be nice to not have echo's when I'm using the phone.

is it currently possible to update from nightly to nightly from settings or we have to install new updates from twrp?

In my opinion, the problems with the fingerprint sensor are very small, in most of the times it works without problems.

    ROM Features
    - Vanilla LineageOS (cm-14.1 branch)
    - Unified ROM for OnePlus 3/OnePlus 3T
    - Nightlies
    - No OTA updates support (don't try to install any)

    Goal of this ROM
LineageOS does not provide nightly builds and does not pass the safetynet test by default. To pass the safetynettest one commit has to be added:
    https://github.com/LineageOS/android_kernel_oneplus_msm8996/compare/cm-14.1...Koenkk:cm-14.1
This is the ONLY difference with the official LineageOS builds.

    Recommendations
    TWRP
    Latest from:
    OnePlus 3: https://twrp.me/devices/oneplusthree.html

    OnePlus 3T: https://github.com/Koenkk/firmware_.../oneplus3t_oxygenos_open_beta_12_firmware.zip

    File System
Use ext4 instead of f2fs, this is the most stable at the moment.

    Installation
    - Flash the latest TWRP version from the Recommendations section
    - Wipe your device through TWRP
    - Recommended Format /data as ext4 (f2fs is unstable at the moment)
    - Flash the latest firmware from the Recommendations section
    - Install the ROM from the download section below with TWRP
    - Install GApps, (ARM64, 7.1, I recommend stock but a different package should also work) (http://opengapps.org/)
    - Boot your device, done! :)

    Updating
    - Make a Nandroid backup
    - Check whether there's a new TWRP release (from the Recommendations section) and in case flash it *before* going on
    - Check whether there's a new firmware release (from the Recommendations section) and in case flash it *before* going on
    - Flash the ROM with TWRP
    - Wipe Dalvik / ART cache and Cache in TWRP

How is this ROM compared to Resurrection remix n?
Not answering your question directly, but to make clear what this ROM is about. I added the following to the OP:

    Goal of this ROM
LineageOS does not support the OnePlus 3T yet. The goal of this ROM is to provide a clean LineageOS experience for the OnePlus 3T (and also support the OnePlus 3). To support both devices, changes in 2 LineageOS repo's are needed. Comparison between my repo's and LineageOS:
    android_kernel_oneplus_msm8996: https://github.com/LineageOS/android_kernel_oneplus_msm8996/compare/cm-14.1...Koenkk:cm-14.1
    android_device_oneplus_oneplus3: https://github.com/LineageOS/android_device_oneplus_oneplus3/compare/cm-14.1...Koenkk:cm-14.1
For both repo's the only changes are the commits from 24 december 2016. These are needed to support both devices.
Note: the merge commits can be ignored, these are needed to keep my repo in-sync with LineageOS.

I don't think so. The gerrit page for the commit says it is still under review (not yet merged) and it was posted on Jan 26. The current build is from Jan 25.
@koenkk will you close the thread after official is released or do you have something else in mind?

I think this unofficial ROM can still have an added value, because:
    - I can provide nightly builds instead of weekly builds
    - I can add the commit from SultanXDA that bypasses the safetynet check
    - You can easily switch between this unofficial build and the official one :) (just dirty flash)

    Here's a build with the N kernel: http://vps355909.ovh.net/experimental/20170128_N_kernel

It's running super smooth for me :). Let me know how it works, when OK, I will switch to this for the nightly builds.

Yes this is new. It's a new name, so it's new. Under the hood changes for the future are things like that lineage Is not anymore under the hood from cyanogen.inc. (isn't that some kind of definition of new? :) )

I know exactly that this I cyanogenmod, thanks for the clarification.

But nice to be a little bit "rude" for smth like that. :)

Edit: I say thank u to the op with his build server who tooks him money, so be nice and thank him that he share the builds with the community, instead of try to be a wise guy.
