It's good because when I need for stock it's not very easy to use odin all the time. And as the new firmwares released I believe you keep it up to date.

I'm going to try. But as I said in Post #3, sometimes you will need to still flash so you have matching boot-loader, kernel, modem etc.

Uploading takes forever, over 8 hours !!

I'll try to upload N920GUBS2BPD1 overnight.

I don't see why not. I don't believe you "need" any custom kernel unless you wish benefits of those features. Back up before flash though

BTW: All that have downloaded the N920CXXU2BPC7 ROM, I uploaded the odexed version by mistake. I will rename it for now and try upload the de-odexed. But it takes 8 hours if the connection doesn't drop . . . Will try tonight so my internet isn't tied up.

Sorry about this. I am flashing the de-odexed version now for test to make sure OK.

Edit: there are a few issues with de-odex. FC etc. Still testing to look for a work-around. Otherwise stay with odex for now.

Edit2: Keep getting FC on Samsung Keyboard - SysScope - SmartCardManager no matter what de-odex process I use (smali-baksmali or oat2dex) full wipe system & data before flash

All done thanks. No FC close yet. If it is still OK before sleep, I'll upload the de-odexed version with system wipe (data is not touched). Will take an eternity to upload . . .
