I'm going to ask a stupid question. You don't have any kind of USB OTG device or other USB cable cord attached to your phone? Because it sounds like it's asking to access some kind of media.
Thanks ChazzMatt,
I don't have anything connected to the USB.
You are right, that message is the one that pops up when you connect something via USB OTG (example: a USB flash drive), and no, I'm not connecting anything... Not even the charger.
That's why I mentioned that the 4g/3g modem (radio chip, antenna or whatever it is called) is connected via USB to our phones motherboard.
It is like: a) the kernel, while communicating with the radio, encounters some error, the connection is killed and 'plugged' again, so the phone thinks a new USB device is connected, but doesn't know what to do (since the connection is normally made at the boot sequence) and the 'new device connected, what to do with it' message pops up (image attached earlier)
b) there is a physical problem with my phone (since no one else is having the same issue), that appeared spontaneously (because I hadn't dropped my phone, nor spilled water on it).
I have to add 2 comments,1) the signal loss does not occurs when I, for example, shake my device. There's nothing apparently loose inside it. The signal loss can occur even with the screen off and the phone sitting still in a table. 2) today I realized that when the signal loss occurs, the GPS won't work either. Normally, GPS works even in airplane mode.
I don't what to give up on my droid turbo easily. It's getting really annoying and inconvenient, but I don't have money for a new phone as good as this one. Any light on the issue is greatly appreciated.
