Honestly, I'm not really sure if you're talking about ROM boot animations (as in "Your Bootloader is Unlocked" and Here's a pretty Unicorn to look at while Android loads), or App boot animations (which is usually Theme associated)...

So what I'm trying to say is my boot animation was replaced by a theme animation I cannot get the theme boot animation removed I want to know the path to the boot animation through a file manager

Every time I build, and think to release an update, it's time to update source and build again. I just couldn't build latest and not share :laugh:

Can be dirty flashed, over previous release. If you're coming from a different ROM, clean install is recommended.

No cellular

I've tried the last 2 builds and after the initial setups my cellular service doesn't work. The bar show service but has an x above it. Both times were clean installs. Works fine for the November builds. Any ideas? Thanks.

Edit : I fixed it. Went into cellular settings and reset network settings.

So, I went ahead and installed computerfreek274's MM rom..and facebook messenger issues were gone. I then installed your latest build (without gapps) and issues were back ..back to stock MM for now ..

could it be some missing paths in some audio xml file? maybe mixer_path.xml, if you can post the file from your build I can compare it to stock one and see if we missing any paths .

No problem, did you experience this on any of the other Nougat ROMs? (CM, crDroid, or RR)

Doesn't work on RR Nougat either. No audio. Didn't work on AOKP MM either though. Not sure about other MM Roms. It's odd that other video call apps would work but not FB messenger. (Or so it has been reported. Haven't tried Skype or anything personally)

Happy to try to help you guys figure this out, but keep in mind: I rarely use FB (never Messenger) on my phone, I'm "anti-social" like that. Now that I think about it though, a friend and I tried video calling with Hangouts a few days ago and never got through to each other...

I blamed the alcohol

Download this app and see if it works. I never use the built in flashlight function. I've used this app for years.

I know the built in ROM function should work, but test this app just to see.

btw I prefer the old fashion in person social events, I don't get this "face" and screens apps things be called social for me is just ways to avoid real personal human to human direct contact. So I don't use most of those app too and don't think I'm "anti-social" but I get that some people think that way regards me, and I don't care after all they are the one avoiding human contact not me I'm very welcome to that...

you can't compare some featuring of custom and stock, we don't have moto source to build we make our on of course using qcom related but that is not the perfect one, Moto apparently doesn't need to released all thy source so we will never have they audio display media, because of that some things need a lot of work to make it happen.

Don't use moto stock file to compare it will not be successful because we change a little to make things work.

I can't test this type of thing I don't use those app so test the attached if not good try to play with the files maybe use the shamu file as example, and maybe is need to change others files like "audio_effects.conf", "audio_platform_info.xml" and "audio_policy.conf"

try the file attached and let me know the behavior, share a log.zip using the log tool of mod kernel adiutor so I check after...

Thanks for the reply buddy, but unluckily I wont be able to test it till next week as I have some important work calls and cant afford downtime on the phone.

If you're talking about using gestures, then yes and no. The gestures only work with the screen unlocked, if your phone is locked, then no chop chop

I'm with you brother, people getting together is the real social life, not a bunch of apps and internet crap. Also, I agree it could be some of the other audio related xml files, or maybe something else all together (apparently, other apps work, just not FB messenger)

I'll put some effort into this, but I'm not going to devote all my free time to it. As I said before, and will most likely say again (actually said it enough to put it in my sig

) I build a ROM for me, maybe I'll share it :good:
