If you get into any problem after flashing the mod, you can always format /system and flash the ROM again.

I did a full wipe with rom wiper. Are you sure that you did flash the gapps? Anyway, do you know how to stop the drain without uninstalling or disabling the app?

Maps..... It's a Google app.... This one.
I haven't even opened the app. I don't know why it drains battery.

my guess is you have google now activated with location related settings turned on.
try finding google settings from app drawer and turn off location related settings.

Always full wipe and format boot, data, cache, system.. Install ROM, gapps, kernel, reboot to system, tinker a little bit, reboot to recovery, install touchwiz mod, fix permissions, reboot to grandness

I installed titanium backup and removed, "email" "google talk" "google plus" and everything from gapps except gmail and play..the rest of the merit remains to articudos and bedalus.. the rom and the kernel just.....work.

EDIT: day 3 with this setup and battery life remains unchanged.. 6 hours off charger and 94% battery..

I have the NS I9023 with original battery..

Auto brightness is on, sound volumes on max.

Its 1500mAh..
I cant reproduce battery life with 8.4.. I'm leaving it for another 24h then going back to 8.3. Battery life still good but only gets me to the end of the day..

I've used 8.3 bigmen and it had some prob with network on sleepmode.Maybe that's the reason your bat life is so good.

So I've been working on a boot animation for JellyShot. Articudos and Zahih gave me some ideas for it and how it should look. Articudos said he's really busy and isnt able to do a new build but said for me to share it with everyone...here is the final result :D

Let me know what you think!
(I'll post a preview of it tomorrow)

Do not flash the zip...push to system/media folder, rename to bootanimation.zip, and change permissions to rw-r-r.
