How come the HOX with much better hardware isn't as smooth as a nexus?

Because JB for the HOX is being hacked together to work by volunteer devs who have spent hardly any time on it compared to the software engineering team at Google who perfected it for the Nexus. Give it some time. These awesome devs will make it more fluid then the GN in time. How come the HOX with much better hardware isn't as smooth as a nexus?
Yeah. The reason I put the code for this out there it to get some kind of collaboration going on but whatever.Thx for hard work :
Question: Is tgascoigne and Trip working on two diff roms instead of 1 fully working?
That's the spiritYeah. The reason I put the code for this out there it to get some kind of collaboration going on but whatever.
Everything has now been merged, just about to test the build, if it seems good it will be uploaded to the mirrors shortly![]()
That's the list I posted on trips thread. Everything I collected working / partially working / non-working so farCan anyone that's pushed the changes test whether Google Now is working properly now that the sound is fixed?

Green = Functionali could also confirm some of the items above since im on jb v18 if i knew which color means what (green=fully functional etc)
put the hox now for usb charging after its 100%, led is green, and hox is not heating up like hell.
the end must be near for jb goodness!
Yeah, that is a good call. In-Call echo seems to come from the second mic located right at the top of the phone to cancel out external noise. It seems to be activated again, causing the call partners to hear themselves and propably, due to a constant activity, Google Now to now know when to stop and analyze a command input. Never thought of thatSo the build works great, though we do have the echo issue, and Google Now doesn't know when to stop recording (I expect this is probably related to the echo?)
Maybe rogro82 can help?So the build works great, though we do have the echo issue, and Google Now doesn't know when to stop recording (I expect this is probably related to the echo?)
Why don't you have a guess mate?i could also confirm some of the items above since im on jb v18 if i knew which color means what (green=fully functional etc)
Good thing you're here mate, I doubt anyone else could have thought of that!Maybe rogro82 can help?
I bet the echo issue is due to the noise cancelling mic being activated as a regular mic.So the build works great, though we do have the echo issue, and Google Now doesn't know when to stop recording (I expect this is probably related to the echo?)
The echo issue is because HTC use a non standard method of controlling in call volume (if you look, in call volume control doesn't work) resulting in the volume being above max, and the microphones not being able to cancel the sound out. It should be easier to fix now, because we already fixed it for ICSWhy don't you have a guess mate?
