1 question, i had installed gs 2.3 SE... I use it with link2sd, all ok But when i restart The system it automatically wipe dalvik cache... Why?

Maybe i've got the answer... by default in GingerDX (so only GS 2.3 SE based on gingerDX is affected) a2sd was enabled, but not dc2sd, so link2sd transfers both app and dc onto ext, but on reboot a2sd script recreate the dalvik cache onto the data memory...

Simply delete the script from init.d directory ;)

Is this true? Can you confirm?

I have installed GS2.3SE version. After a reboot after complete battery drain, the 'home' button is not working. I have to keep pressing 'back' button to get out of application.
Any help how to get the home button working again is much appreciated. Thanks

I had this problem about 5 times, but randomly, not like yours...it's frikin' annoying that home button is not working, tried many things but only one i got it working again by accident(chainfire for graphics reduction) , installed chainfire, it's driver and FIX MARKET LINKS...reboot and viola,fixed...
I don't know how it got fixed or will it work for u or again at all, but there is no fixing in without clean reflashing GS as far as I know :/

It's funny because i only experienced it on GingerSnap even on 1.3...

I enabled the soft buttons to get around it. But now I am told my incoming calls are getting busy tone. Looks like a clean install is required now :(
Or may be try ICYsnap or some other ROM.
Personally, none of the ICS ROMs lasted long in my O1. Always GB for me.

Regarding home button not working, the following fix always worked for me:

1. Open Terminal Emulator.
2. Type su then press enter.
3. Type the following then press enter:
sqlite3 /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/settings.db "INSERT INTO secure (name,value) VALUES ('device_provisioned','1');"

If all went well, your home button should work now.

The battery drain on ICS is a lot more heavy then GB, uses more RAM and still ICS is still in development and not fully functional... Still I prefer ICS because the UI is a lot more pretty then GB...also some newer applications require at least ICS :/

<3 IcySnap till better ROM comes

Hi...
I'm using this ROM from two months. It's really nice one.
But there is a problem in my case.:(
When I unlock my phone it gives a black screen.
Then it never unlock the device, doesn't even give any chance to reboot.
I used to pull out the battery hopelessly and start the phone as usual.
And this occurs most of the time.
So please help me out of this.:(
