my own little microcosmos
I followed those instructions religiously, but I still get:

Invalid sparse file format at header magi sending sparse 'system' (460814 KB)... OKAY [ 12.720s] writing 'system'... FAILED (remote: sparse flash write failure) finished. total time: 12.761s"

I used

Huawei P10 Lite WAS Warsaw-L21 8.0.0.362(C432) Firmware Android 8.0.0 EMUI 8.0.0 05014JKK

which I assume is version 362.
I also tried https://androidhost.ru/6lb, but this doesn't even install.

I read that I have to, "You have to downgrade the version to android 7 and update 1 time to android 8 there I did it and it worked for me"

But I have no idea what this means.
The homepage in this Thread that you tried...its not allowed on XDA.
A Moderator of XDA told me^^

BTW in my Video on Page 3 you can see that i have Octavi OS installed on Version 390. its not important wich Version you have as the Build. The Problem is that flashing over ADB is not working. On my p10 lite it flashed the System completly without error (FAILED remote: sparse flash write failure) but it runs every time i tried into a bootloop! You need to extract it and get it on you SD Card or external SD Card. But its to big and Mtp connection will abort the copy/paste from Pc to Phone.

Last...the Link you postet is for
L21A Device Version 360 C185 (russia region) but you have
L21 Device Version 362 C432 (european version) so its for another Device and another Region

so go to the Homepage you postet in your thread but not with 6lb at the End...try the 29Wz at the End
then you have
L21 Device Version 390 and C432.

good luck

Downgrade to 361 not to 362, don't worry B361 also support dual sim, just use WAS-L21_hw_eu folder.
I had the same issue during the flash and B361 rom fixed the issue.
I used this - https://androidhost.ru/8RX
The new firmware changes the system partition to 3.5GB and that's why you can't flash the system.img
Use the DLOAD method to downgrade to B361, then unlock your Bootloader again because the downgrading will lock the phone. Once you downgrade to B361 your system partiton will be 4GB again.

Hello,

I've successfully install the rom but I still have one annoying issue. When I'm trying to install some application from play store I've got an error saying "app requiered external storage", I've seen it can be link to crypt partition but when I'm going in to "Settings -> security -> encryption and credentials" -> encrypt phone status is "phone not encrypted".

What did I missed ?

Thansk, for your help

I gave it a try by re-installing again and now everything is working properly.

Thanks for the ROM

OctaviOS is an AOSP based rom focusing on Unique and Smooth UI with handy features. OctaviOS is a reborn of pie based PearlOS.
    Code:
    * Your warranty is now void.

    Download ROM

    OctaviOS

    !!!IMPORTANT!!!
    FLASH
THIS FILE TO DECRYPT THE PHONE SO IT CAN BOOT A CUSTOM ROM.
IF THAT ONE DOESN'T WORK USE
    THIS ONE.
IF YOU DON'T DECRYPT THE PHONE YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO BOOT A CUSTOM ROM.
(THIS FILE IS BEST TO BE FLASHED USING Pretoriano80's TWRP WHICH YOU CAN DOWNLOAD FROM
    HERE.
AFTER THAT USE DarkJoker360's TWRP TO BOOT BECAUSE IT WORKS BEST WITH THIS DEVICE.

    CLEAN FLASH :

-Extract "system.img.xz" on your PC and transfer the "system.img" on to your SDCard or the phone's storage
    -Reboot to TWRP
    -Take Backup (Not Necessary)
    -Wipe everyhing except Vendor
    -Reboot To Recovery
-Flash the "system.img" as System Image
-Flash Gapps (already included, but i'll port a vanilla version without them soon)
    -Flash Magisk (optional)
    -Reboot

    FLASH USING ADB:

    -Extract "system.img.xz" on your PC
    -Reboot to TWRP
    -Wipe everything except Vendor
    -Reboot to bootloader
-Insert command fastboot flash system <path to system.img>
-After that is done go ahead and use fastboot reboot to reboot to the system.

    !!!IMPORTANT!!!
THIS ROM IS ALREADY ROOTED WITH phh's SuperUser
IF U WANT MAGISK THEN DOWNLOAD
THIS FORKED VERSION BY @DarkJoker360 FOR TREBLE/GSI ROMS.
