I downloaded N7100XXDMB2_N7100OXADMA5_N7100XXDLK7_FACTORY_XEF.rar unzipped, flashed and now I have the dreaded triangle "Firmware Upgrade Encountered an Issue on ..." error. Before that the phone wasn't booting, it was stuck on splash screen after kid was playing games on it. Tried KIES, ODIN stock, nothing worked except TWRP installed successfully.

Most links at OP are dead, I am more familiar with an i717, GT-N7100 is a new device to me. So I need help to locate a working rom - stock or custom - as long as it gets the phone back up.

Firmware in OP is ancient and not recommended to even get in touch with your device. First you got to get known your current bootloader version with samsung info app from play store, then will see what further steps should be taken to rescue your phone.

Appreciate your response. Phone doesn't boot to desktop. It won't go past the "Firmware upgrade encountered an error..." screen. Is there another way to skin this cat?
