Works great. I was hoping my GPS issues would be fixed since this is stock touchwiz (coming from aosp) but I'm still having issues any ideas?

What steps did you do to root? I lost my root when upgrading. TIA
Heres what i do to root when using odin to restore stock. First Grab the latest twrp.img from their website and grab the latest supersu.zip 2.46 from chainfires site. Put twrp.img in your odin folder and super su zip on your external sd. Then sucsesfully odin stock oc5 and get it booted to the home screen. Then shutdown and boot into download mode and use odin to flash the twrp.img in pda slot i think. Then when that completes boot into twrp vol up and home. From there just flash your supersu zip and your stock rooted with custom recovery. Enjoy

Thanks GavinMazey that worked like a champ! I rooted my phone 1.5 years ago and got lazy and forgot what to do. It was much more complicated back them.

Great! Thats the easiest way imo. You could use cfautoroot then install twrpafter that but this is easier and you have the supersu.zip ready to go if you loose root for any reason.

I'm just surprised that there are no custom ROMs out yet, or at least deodex but hey our devs have lives and LP has some new changes in the way it works. Wondering if we could flash something from the N-9005 section?

SO I took the plunge and flashed this last night but now I have to turn wifi off then back on to connect and I can't see 5g networks now. Anyone else have this happen? I flashed the modem and baseband again but still not luck. Gonna give it another go but if anything reflash stock again.
My wife's phone see's 5g no problem and we were both running sacs n4 port. fyi..

EDIT: Well looks like 3rd times a charm. I just flashed the modem and baseband again and I see 5G and it's actually connecting now. All good in the hood. :D

Hey guys, just wanted to point out a dev in need of help. And its something we could all use here. In the gen section, you might have missed it, a dev (@tx_dbs_tx) is trying to make a stock rooted Lollipop base ROM. He's run into some peculiar issues, and needs help testing from competent flashers.

Be prepared to flash, use notepad++ and have good basic knowledge of zip/unzip, etc.
If you're interested in helping, check out the thread, I don't know if he's gotten the help he needs yet, and this would be a real boon to the life of this device.

(I would be myself, but as a full-time father with a full-time job... I'm lucky if I get to read the threads.)

Dude I'm in the same boat. I'm a fulltime father, work full time and also planning a wedding. I can't afford to do the grunt work this time around especially not with a vivrant 6 year old and a fiancè. LoL. I just don't have the time to dedicate to this.
