Just experienced the first system ui issue as well, screen was dim and no soft buttons responded. I had to restart system ui to get the anything to respond.

Can you send me a logcat? Preferably of the moment of the crash.
Do you recall anything in particular that triggers it?

Confirmed by upstream developers to be a Bliss issue (affecting all Bliss devices currently). Should be fixed soon!

Good to know. Have not been able to replicate. It was sort of random but for future reference I should be able to pull a logcat after it happens as long as I do not reboot, is that correct?

A member of the upstream team has told me that this bug only occurs when not setting a PIN/pattern/password/fingerprint on the lockscreen.
Therefore, set one and you'd be fine!

Hey there

Getting embms force closes and missing gesture navigation in the 0417 Marlin build. Recents button on navbar does not work either

If you search 'gesture' in settings it comes up, but once selected it takes you to navigation gestures but it not there

I clean flashed as well

Thanks for your work, looking forward to the next build

Hi!
- The embms issue is a SELinux issue as detailed in the first post. See the workaround there.
- I've now started pushing official builds! :D
- The gesture issue is a Lawnchair issue. The latest builds now have Trebuchet.
Anything else, feel free to reply here! (make sure you quote me so I get a notification)

Wow that's embarrassing. My apologies for not doing my research first

    Sources for this device:
For this build, I'm using razorloves's kernel and vendor sources for LineageOS verbatim - without any change.
However, I'm using a modified device tree based on razorloves's LineageOS device tree but has a few changes to build Bliss instead of LineageOS.
    Code:
So the sources are as follows:
    Device tree: [url="https://github.com/WaseemAlkurdi/android_device_google_marlin/tree/q"]https://github.com/WaseemAlkurdi/android_device_google_marlin/tree/q[/url]

    Official marlin downloads:
    Bliss server:
    https://sourceforge.net/projects/blissroms/files/Q/marlin/
    (Updated link to the fix)
Update: Only the International Google Pixel XL model (model number G-2PW2200) faces the issue below. If you have an American-spec Google Pixel XL (model number G-2PW2100) then you won't have that issue. Feel free to ignore that section.
    The model
If you face an issue with a force-close in com.qualcomm.embms (it's limited to some networks only), please boot with SELinux permissive by flashing a Magisk module or using the kernel in this folder: https://sourceforge.net/projects/blissroms/files/Q/marlin/
It's an SELinux contexts issue that I don't know how to fix, unfortunately. If you're a dev and you know something that could help, please PM me!

    Code:
[B]Please familiarize yourself with flashing and custom rom use before attempting to flash the rom. Please make sure you download the correct version of Bliss for your specific device. The links are labeled clearly.[/B]

    [*][B]Download the latest Bliss ROM[/B]
[*][B]Boot into recovery (power it off, then hold Power + Volume Down to enter Fastboot mode, then use the volume keys to navigate the menu to Recovery Mode)[/B]
[*][B]Backup your current ROM (if you are currently on Android 10, remove your lockscreen password/PIN/pattern, as TWRP doesn't support Android Q encryption yet)[/B]
    [*][B]Perform a factory reset[/B]
    [*][B]Switch to Slot A[/b]
[*][B]Flash Bliss ROM. DO NOT FLASH ANY GAPPS PACKAGE. As on all ROMs, don't flash Magisk until after your first boot.[/B]

[*][B]Flash Bliss ROM again. As on all ROMs, don't flash Magisk until after your first boot.[/B]
    [*][B]Reboot[/b]
[*][B]First boot may take up to 10 minutes. This is due to Gapps and root optimization.[/B]

    Current bugs:
    - com.qualcomm.embms crash for some people on some networks on the International model. It's an SELinux contexts issue that I don't know how to fix just yet. Please PM me if you can help here.
    - (Upstream issue) SystemUI may stop responding to touches (not lag, but stop responding to touches) unless you add a lockscreen/PIN/pattern. The Bliss team is working on a fix.
    - (Upstream issue) Navigation gestures may not work on any other user apart from user 0 (Owner). This is not Bliss specific, a fix is in progress.

Fixed, the fix is pending merge. Merged, will be available with the May Security Patch update!
    Code:
[B]If you have a major bug to report that has not been reported already, please take the following steps to report it to us. It will save you and our team quite some time.[/B]

[*][B]Download the [URL="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nolanlawson.logcat&hl=en"][COLOR=DeepSkyBlue][U]CatLog[/U][/COLOR][/URL] app (or MatLog for a Material Design version) from the Play Store.[/B]
[*][B]There is also a donate version which you can purchase to show appreciation.[/B]
[*][B]After downloading CatLog or MatLog, go to the app settings, and change the log level to Debug.[/B]
[*][B]Clear all previous logs and take the exact steps to produce the error you are receiving.[/B]
[*][B]As soon as you receive the error (probably a force close), go straight into Catlog and stop the log recording.[/B]

    20200418 - Official release!

20200329 - Uploaded FINAL "marlin" build - tested and fully works!
20200329 - Started working on builds for "sailfish" ... if you're interested in testing these, please PM me!
20200328 - The entire proprietary vendor tree was being left out! Now it should boot and work just fine.
20200326 - Rebuilt as "eng" build - that should increase logcat verbosity at cost of significant performance hit, otherwise same as the build below
20200325 - Initial build - DID NOT BOOT because of missing proprietary libraries
    Special thanks
Rohan (@imrohan) - for bearing with me till the end and tolerating my stupid questions :D

@segun - for impatiently waiting for the latest builds ;)
