Great ROM thanks!!
I'd like to report a few bugs I've found:
- Flashes occur whilst using the app drawer
- Pictures are blurry
Also, I'd like to ask if it's possible to remove the blank space that appears in between the keyboard and the navbar whilst using full screen mode
Thanks

Launcher bug present in almost all launchers based in Launcher3 or Pixel Launcher, not an issue.

Pictures are blurry seems like an issue on your side, try using other Google Cameras.

Thank u dev for mantaining this wonderful rom!

I got a problem that sometimes when using the phone my touch/input is not registered at all. then i need to press power button to off the screen then unlock it back for touch to work again. is it just me or anybody got this problem also?
and my phone is using the lcd display id td4310 fhdplus e7 video mode dsi panel when checked with aida64.

Thanks dev and keep up the great work
I'm pretty sure I've got the same LCD. It's likely not ROM related; rather a manufacturer defect as it sounds like the infamous Redmi 5 Plus touchscreen issues. Some people don't have them, others do.

The issue is sporadic and can't be reliably reproduced - sometimes it can be chronic, other times it's infrequent enough that people try a 'fix', then not encounter symptoms and end up suggesting a placebo fix to everyone else.

Supposedly it may be due to copper oxides on the panel connector. I've tried cleaning the pins before. Either I didn't do a good enough job or it doesn't work (that is, popping off the back-panel and brushing the internal screen connector pins with some isopropyl).

Other things you may notice: swipes registering as taps, general unresponsiveness for a few seconds and ghost touches. Toggling the screen lock and waiting a second often curbs the symptoms.

Grease on the screen from your hands (or whatever else) and screen protectors can make the problem appear worse - they don't cause it; merely make the symptoms more apparent. Generally you won't experience the issue too severely in the first year of use - suggesting there's an element of hardware degregation.

It is a somewhat known fault and very much a manufacturer defect (I have never seen this issue with other phones).

Whilst it will likely be in the two year 'warranty' Xiaomi is very anti-consumer - whether the warranty is valid will depend on whether you bought the handset in your own country and if you bought it from a "authorised reseller" (there's very few of them so Xiaomi can sidestep most warranty claims).

If it's a grey import, bought abroad or from any random retailer not listed on their woefully short "authorised reseller" list then Xiaomi won't take responsibility for it (even if it's genuine, meant for your region and carrying the 'global' warranty stickers).

Download latest orange fox recovery , 10.1 R stable.
Flash it from recovery, now you have latest orange fox recovery.
Wipe Delvic , system, data, vendor and cache. Dont wipe internal storage.
Flash desired rom.
Reboot to recovery again.
Flash magisk.
Reboot into system.
If Rom gives boot loop, again go to recovery and this time flash without wiping anything.
Enjoy

Lol..:laugh: His instruction is right.
Make sure
1)downloaded rom is not corrupted.
2)stay on orange fox 10.1 R. Make sure u have installed this.
3)after a full wipe, flash latest firmware. Although u are in latest. Do that again. It's around 100mb.
4) then flash the rom.
Still stuck in that, make a format. That will clean all problem.

Hi bro thanks so much for the input.

The issue is sporadic and can't be reliably reproduced - sometimes it can be chronic, other times it's infrequent enough that people try a 'fix', then not encounter symptoms and end up suggesting a placebo fix to everyone else.

yeah for me the problem is frequent but not that chronic. I can still use the device just fine but sometimes when it doesnt detect touch just need to turn off and on the display. Small problem.

Supposedly it may be due to copper oxides on the panel connector. I've tried cleaning the pins before. Either I didn't do a good enough job or it doesn't work (that is, popping off the back-panel and brushing the internal screen connector pins with some isopropyl).

So u mean cleaning the panel connector doesnt fix the problem? or the problem frequency decreases by a small margin?

Other things you may notice: swipes registering as taps, general unresponsiveness for a few seconds and ghost touches. Toggling the screen lock and waiting a second often curbs the symptoms.

Yeah touch doesnt detect as input to the screen, a few ghost touches. On off the screen fix the problem but sometimes need to try twice or thrice. The problem even exist on recovery so clearly it is not rom specific problem. Sorry dev for blaming u before:crying:

Grease on the screen from your hands (or whatever else) and screen protectors can make the problem appear worse - they don't cause it; merely make the symptoms more apparent. Generally you won't experience the issue too severely in the first year of use - suggesting there's an element of hardware degregation.

Maybe if i try using a screen protector or tempered glass will it fix the problem?

It is a somewhat known fault and very much a manufacturer defect (I have never seen this issue with other phones).

Haha it is actually my fault. My display broke then i replaced with a new one myself. Before the screen work just fine, even when the glass is shattered like hell. The problem only arises after the repair.

I am actually hesitant to open the phone and clean;reassemble the LCD display connector so maybe i will just bear with this problem until the phone is no longer needed.

Thanks anyway for tryng to help mr droident

There's a video on YouTube floating about where one guy popped off the backpanel and gave the touchpanel connector a clean with some isopropyl alcohol if I remember correctly. I did the same; I had some improvement from simply re-seating the connector without cleaning it. Then figured cleaning it was a surefire way to fix it for good - but it didn't do much and the problem returned. It may have needed a more thorough clean with the isopropyl.

If you want to try that fix then dismantling the Redmi 5 Plus isn't actually too hard; but in my opinion it's a little trickier than some would imply - but certainly easier than some phones. You need a pry tool or something to lodge between the glass and backpanel. I actually used the edge of a foil blister pill pack to pop open mine. You have to work your way around the edge and once you've got most of the sides free it comes off unharmed - and snaps back on afterwards. There's two connectors above the battery, the one on the left is the touchpanel. It lifts up and then you can use a toothbrush or a fine paint brush to apply a little isopropyl. It evaporates pretty quickly. The panel connector can then be reseated, it 'clicks' down and you should check to see if everything is functioning normally before you pop the backpanel back on.

Screen protectors will make the problem marginally worse - since the digitizer will need to detect touches through another layer of glass.

This certainly isn't your fault - rather that when it was serviced you probably managed to get the same particular touch-panel as I have. There's several touchpanels they use if I'm correct - this one in particular can sometimes be a nuisance.

If you can make do with it then I'd say just use it as best you can and save up for a K30 Ultra, Poco F2 or a Redmi Note 9 Pro. Though tbf it wouldn't be a terrible idea to try something other than a Xiaomi phone. I've lost my respect for Xiaomi in recent years due to the whole bootloader wait period fiasco, how easy it is to irreversibly brick their phones with MiFlash (and how insanely preventable it is - borderline criminal), their shoddy quality control (like the touchpanel in this phone), kernel sources fiasco, the buggy MIUI updates, lack of updates on some devices and the elusive 'warranty'. Their role-out in my own country just shows how off-track they are nowadays. They're pushing up prices but still haven't sorted out these major issues.

    I guess there is nothing wrong in reading facts!

    -Why no "Incremental/Delta updates" Support?
    ->The updates we provide monthly are heavily changed and modified than the previous builds. New stuff is merged and added. So we don't provide incremental updates and recommend a clean flash.

    -How do I root this ROM?
    ->We recommend Magisk

    -Does this ROM Support Substratum?
    ->Google killed Substratum support in Pie. You can use it, however, you need to be rooted. We don't support rootless Substratum.

    -Which Gapps are recommended?
    ->OpenGapps and BitGappps

    -Will this ROM relock the bootloader?
    ->No.

    -What about XPOSED?
    ->XPOSED is still in the beta stage. We like Xposed but it messes up with the system so before giving any bug reports make sure you have Xposed uninstalled.

    -When Will Be the Next Update?
    ->No ETAs, please. ROM Will be updated whenever the new build is ready by your maintainer. We generally provide monthly updates with the latest security patches and new features.

    -Adaway is not working :(
    ->Download it from here Adaway

    -SElinux Linux mode changer app is not working nor Busy Box installer app is working.
    ->Everything is good with the sources. You should try other things first and then contact your maintainer.
