Thank you for testing. At least I know that it's not kernel related issue now.
My kltekor G900K booted fine, on the first try I just flashed the ROM and it worked, after that I went to TWRP again to flash Magisk, GApps and Tuned Kernel it still booted without problems.

thanks FiestaLake for a solid ROM and even better than the previous version in my opinion.

This is a little off ROM topic but perhaps somebody might be able to suggest something. I broke the screen on my S5 (klte G900f) and bought a new one. The TWRP backup for the old unit won't restore onto the new one so I completely fresh installed 8.6.9 latest version (works very well, thanks!)

However, for two apps I use and can't replace, play store says "your device isn't compatible with this version". I tried a clean wipe and install of 8.5.9 but same issue. Titaniumbackup of the apps won't restore them. Attempt to install from apk says "app not installed", older apks also won't install.

Both apps install no problem on LOS 17 so for some reason RR is different. Any suggestions?

Same gapps?

Yeah, same gapps. I also tried it entirely without gapps, restoring from titanium backup and from apk without success.

I have now got round the issue by restoring only the system from backup of the old phone onto the new phone and reinstalling all apps using titaniumbackup to restore data where necessary.

OTA upgrade to 8.6.9 then worked perfectly and everything seems to have carried on working. It's all a bit hacky but seemed to work. Thanks!

I have TWRP 3.5.2_9-0 installed. TWRP reports the wrong date and time and reflects this incorrect information in the files and folders it creates during backups. My backup is starting with the date 1970-12-19...... Because the TWRP was correctly reporting the date when I was using LOS 16, then I start to seach the date in the ROM and I found it in following file:

/sys/class/rtc/rtc0/date

When I open it as text inside 1970-12-19 exist.

So, what may be to do next to correct TWRP time setting??? Which file(s) used by TWRP to build time???

S5 SM-G900FQ ( KLTE ) + TWRP 3.5.2_9-0 + Magisk V23.0 + RROS-Q-8.6.9 (20210520)+ Tuned Kernel (20201030) + Apps

You can dirty flash ofc. If you use custom kernel other than the default one, you need to flash it after updating rr manually.
I did Dirty Flash update and now I have RROS-Q-8.7.0. I thank for that FiestaLake to keep my phone up to date.

For this opportunity I like to write what I did exactly, so some one can use it as a guide;

1) I was having followings:
- KLTE
- RROS-Q-8.6.9 (20210520) + GAPPS (pico) + Magisk + Custom Kernel + Apps installed
- RROS-Q-8.7.0.zip + GAPPS (pico).zip + Custom Kernel.zip on the SD Card
- Recovery is Official TWRP

2) - Boot to Recovery
- Wipe Cash + Dalvic/Art
- (I do NOT wipe the SYSTEM, I thought it is not necessary because it is indeed OTA update)
- Flash RROS-Q-8.7.0.zip & GAPPS (pico).zip in one go
- Wipe Cash + Dalvic/Art again
- Reboot to system

3) I check as much as as possible after loading completed. And it was all OK except that I forget to flash the custom ROM I was using...

4) - So back to "boot to recovery"
- Wipe Cash + Dalvic/Art
- Flash Custom Kernel.zip
- Wipe Cash + Dalvic/Art
- Reboot to system

5) Now all OK

You don't need to wipe cache and art cache every time tho.

I do this as a mater of course anyway, couldn't hurt right? I've dirty flashed the last two versions and so far everything seems to be working. Anyway a little off topic maybe, but could someone recommend a replacement battery for our S5's? Are those extended capacity batteries offered online any good or really offer extended SOT? Thanks for any recommendations...

The ROM works great. I have two questions.

Is there a way to disable screen timeout? On another phone with RR (also Android 10) aren't any entries like 10 sec, 30 sec 5 min .... checked. I don't remember how I did this.

I prefer to use the hardware buttons. Press home button to wake up. It works, but the issue is that after wake up the screen goes to home screen instead to the last state (like last app).

Is there a way to solve this two things? For now I'm using a tasker profile which keeps the screen on when certain apps are running.

Does any one may inform me please if theSELLinux is permisive or enforcing? After I install BitGapps (r37, which is currently latest) SELLinux became permisive and I'm not sure how it was before. Thanks.

Edit: Then I find a mode changer which is "https://github.com/BiTGApps/BiTGApps-Files/raw/master/Tools/BiTGApps-selinux-enforcing_signed.zip", now after flashing it SELLinux is ENFORCING now...

Unfortunately, I haven't gotten around to testing the current build of this ROM yet. I've installed crDroid (also Android 10) on my daily driver for about a month, along with the Tuned Kernel. I often listen to music without heavy battery drain or UI lags.
thank you for mentioning those two things ill try them out.

not using the crDroid, But I installed the Tuned Kernel with RR and all the problems went away completely, I swear I turn that thing on and It would take so long for it to go past the pinnumber screen if i had music on that it would go back into sleep mode, Thanks dude.

If you have a major bug to report that has not been reported already, please take the following steps to report it to us. It will save you, Team Resurrection Remix and me quite some time.

Download the MatLog app from the Play Store.
After downloading the MatLog app, go to the app settings, and change the log level to Debug.
Clear all previous logs and take the exact steps to produce the error you are receiving. As soon as you receive the error (probably a force close), go straight into MatLog and stop the log recording.
Copy and paste the entire log either to Hastebin or Pastebin
Save the log, and copy and paste the link into the thread with a brief description of the error.
