I ran into a very annoying bug, all third party apps that need stock camera access always crash. But when the application has its own camera, it's working properly like Instagram, facebook, whatsapp, etc.

Does anyone else experience big loading times on messenging/social apps?

Reddit/FB/Messenger all of them out of nowhere takes a long time to load, this started on the previous version and nothing changed when i did the last update.

For example, notification comes for a new message on messenger, tapping on it opens the actual conversation and then it takes anywhere from 5 to 30 seconds to load the new message.

Clearing Cache of the app wont help at all.

I'm trying to avoid reflashing since its my daily driver phone and It will take hours to set everything up again.

Any ideas on what the issue is?

Not that it's helpful but FWIW I don't have any issue like this. I am on the latest May update and my messaging apps work fine.

Does the QR code scanner fail you? It doesn't work for me, the whole screen stays black.

Im on the latest May update as well, and this behaviour started a long time after updating to the previous(i Think it was february?) update.
I guess I should clean reflash the rom, but really I need many hours to setup again the whole phone.
I also cleared roms cache, apps cache etc and still have this behavior.

Which version of OrangeFox are you trying to use with PE? PE uses encryption with keymaster 4.0 and you need the OrangeFox R11.1_3_0_dynamic beta release.

Edit: "uses encrkeymaster" is nonsensical; changed to "uses encryption with keymaster".

I tried the latest stable version and didn't think about trying the beta one, which worked perfectly, thanks !

same problem +1, it seems to be active all the time, can not into sleep mode when not being used.
Also, is there any way to downgrade to the last version?

It looks like google play services has a problem with location extraction, I don't know why. After completely turning off the position, the battery will no longer drain as quickly and the phone will no longer heat up.
