Not that it's helpful but FWIW I don't have any issue like this. I am on the latest May update and my messaging apps work fine.Does anyone else experience big loading times on messenging/social apps?
Reddit/FB/Messenger all of them out of nowhere takes a long time to load, this started on the previous version and nothing changed when i did the last update.
For example, notification comes for a new message on messenger, tapping on it opens the actual conversation and then it takes anywhere from 5 to 30 seconds to load the new message.
Clearing Cache of the app wont help at all.
I'm trying to avoid reflashing since its my daily driver phone and It will take hours to set everything up again.
Any ideas on what the issue is?
Thanks for letting me know.
Which version of OrangeFox are you trying to use with PE? PE uses encryption with keymaster 4.0 and you need the OrangeFox R11.1_3_0_dynamic beta release.
I tried the latest stable version and didn't think about trying the beta one, which worked perfectly, thanks !
I am in the UK running the latest version of this ROM and I have not rooted my phone. All my banking apps work fine and Google pay works fine too. Hope that helps your decision.
I solved the mystery: a few days ago I replaced the speakerphone/ringtone speaker that integrates the smartphone antenna because I damaged it, and the new antenna is faulty!!! reassembled the original works perfectly !!! now i bought a new original xiaomi speakerphone on ebay and i will try if it works.in italy you might have issues because 3G antennas are getting shut down everywhere, so you will need a good 4G (I have very bad 4G, I'm in italy as well) or do 2G calls
btw you just need a profile with GSM, LTE and WCDMA (3G, should not work on most operators),
if you want to reinstall MIUI, you can google the procedure, or follow this
- download the rom you want (recovery) https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/dipper/
- flash it in recovery
- format data
I discovered the mystery and solved it!!!! the new speakerphone/antenna is missing a small clip that electrically connects the metal frame of the smartphone to the speakerphone/antenna, it is very small and thanks to a lens I was able to see it, now everything works perfectly. I attach photos with details that may be useful to someone.I tried a second handsfree with integrated antenna, but same problem... I lose a lot of sensitivity to the GSM signal and the smartphone becomes unusable!!!
I think it must be something at the calibration level for the new antenna to work...
Does anyone have an idea how I can do this????
