Guys pe+ may build is my first ROM ever I tried to OTA June build.and I found out I still have mi recovery. My Poco just reboots after pressing install on the OTA.
Did I flash wrong or do I need magisk or DfE to keep twrp(don't really want to root and I don't understand the benefits of being decrypted). Any fix for my problem Or I will have to boot to twrp via adb every time a OTA drops?

You probably just booted into TWRP and flashed the ROM and u didn't flashed TWRP into recovery to stay permanently. I guess the recovery u have now it's AOSP.
Check my POCO F1 Ultimate Collection & Guides and find the Guide in #2 about custom recovery installation (Fastboot method).
No need DFE or Magisk to flash TWRP.

I cannot see the photos but doesn't matter. You need to "permanently" flash TWRP. 😜
If you have problem to flash dirtectly TWRP, you can boot into TWRP like u did and from there install TWRP as .img in recovey. (You need to have the .img in ur device)

Sorry about the images they just show mi recovery 3.0.
Sound logical to flash not just Boot twrp for it to stick. guess I was just excited to try the ROM I didn't flash it. If I flash twrp.img it won't be replaced again??
Thanks man and sorry for the trouble.

Yes it will stick "permanently" if u flash it.
Just saying if u have problems to flash it directly, you can boot into twrp like u did in the past and flash it from there.

If u want to manually update to June build, check my guide "Dirty installation" or #2 and make sure u downloaded and flash June build.

I finally got it to work.the problem was I downloaded the build for the settings option so it's saved in data/system_updates. I flash that one 2 times and the build and security patch never change. I downloaded it again manually and It worked fine. So either android 11 secure folder bullshit or the OTA downloader **** up.
Thank you so much for your help man.

Hi, I found 2 problems after dirty flashed last update:
1. GCAM mod not processing HDR, but using Parrot latest version is working.
2. Banking Apps detecting my phone as rooted device even though I didn't flash magisk.

You can use NGK kernel, it will fix the issue 😉
I've done some testing, with ngk 2.2 gcam HDR+ works correctly and doesn't stuck.
However with newest 2.3 it doesn't work.
Same with etude that came with the latest build.
    Reverting to May's build helps.
if you flash 2.3 ngk kernels on Mays build camera HDR+ will stuck.

It seems to be something with the latest streamline in both built-in etude and ngk kernels that affects the HDR+ processing.

In the last update on June 22, 2021, auto brightness has become worse. If it works very well on the street, then the screen is dark in the house, in the curtain you have to add brightness.

After the latest update GCam does not work. It hangs on Processing HDR+. I've tried v7.3 and v8.1, from different mooders, but the result is the same.

After 2 years, my battery was at around 60% of its original capacity. But it is a fact that after the OTA update, battery drain increased heavily. Just because you and the team don't face that problem, it doesn't mean that all the other people with problems are lying. However, my battery problem was fixed after a replacement and a clean flash.

To be clear, I'm not blaming the devs here. They clearly recommend a clean flash, and most people come to complain after a dirty flash, including me, so I apologise for that, but the least you could do is acknowledge the issue.

With my battery problem issue, I believe the fault was mine as well, because I updated straight from April build to June build through OTA. I always update using OTA, but still, I'd appreciate it if you could link me your dirty flash guide.
Hello and sorry for my late response,

I am not saying that you lying.
Battery drain depends on many things and mostly is caused by the end of user. For example if you are using magisk modules, modded apps, bad wakelocks, if the battery is old and what use you are doing, etc.

We cannot know exactly what causing your drain. You didn't provided any graph of ur usage or something. We don't experience any huge drain and the SOT we get with normal use is around ~9hours+ and my battery is also 2.5 years old.

Ofc you don't have to clean install everytime on every new update, unless the dev announce it for a specific reason.
I have to clean install for months and I am switching between stable and test builds with my dirty flash guide and sometimes via OTA without any issue.

I recommend you to check the Dirty Flash Guide, Battery Guide and monitor your device with BetterBattaryStats app which can be find at Useful Apps section on my POCO F1 Ultimate Collection & Guides thread. You can find everything you need there.

If you still have issues even after July update which coming soon, please provide battery graphs, battery stats-wakelocks and tell us if you are using any module or something modded like modded apps - launcher for example, etc.

Can I install pixel rom again on my device .....it is already on pixel rom.....please some one tell me how to do it...??
If you want to install Pixel Experience, please take a minute and read OP #2 about installation. This is the first thing to do if you want to flash something in ur device. Everything is in front of your eyes, first read OP then do a question. I wrote the guide to make things a bit easier for everyone but none seems to be reading this.

Why there's no face unlock and status bar customizations and also an option to hide full screen gesture bar as well and make all app fullscreen?? Request to add those in the next build, thanks and I appreciate the efforts you devs putting into this device. Thank you again have a great life ahead and god bless you.
I recommend use the Fullscreen/Immersive Gestures Magisk module for fullscreen apps.
