I'm facing an issue where my screen just randomly goes off, and can't turn on but the phone isn't dead because i still have the notification light and can still receive message, need to reboot to solve it. Anyone facing this too? And have a solution?
Turns out this issue can be fixed by disabling Ambient Display in the Poco Settings.

Any ui freeze, call record bug there?
Plan to flash after the monthly patch update
Haven't had a single issue performance wise. I don't know what bug you're referring to as I don't record my calls ever, so it's never been an issue. Currently the GCam port I am using crashes if you try to use video other modes work. That's about the only issue I have.
Will have to look for another port slash wait to see if fixed in update.

Edit: not sure what happened. The only thing I've done was disable Tencent with ADB fast tools and I've rebooted a couple times, but the GCam port is fully working now. Video records perfect.

Amazing ROM very underrated. Currently the best battery life for the X3. Bravo!

Just flashed DotOS from pixel experience. Tried to do it while being able to keep all my files but while DotOs started up I couldn't install anything since it said i had no space so then i just wiped and everything went smooth. But I am unable to install a few apps from the google play store like spotify and firefox. Was able to install an apk, but anyone else have this issue?

All the UI freeze, unresponsive status bar, brightness slide in status bar bug, mobile data lost, sudden blackout and most importantly the 5% battery sound, app lag bug have persisted through 2 patches already. I'm really hopping it will be fixed in the upcoming 5.2 update. Otherwise going back to 5.0.1 or switching to a more stable ROM is more reasonable at this point :( Really really love the custom made unique UI and the compatibility with other mods like ANX 3.0 and GCAMs. Can't wait for the big update.
P/S: For those who faced other major bugs while installing this ROM, here is how i did it clean:
-Prep an SD card, unlocked bootloader, TWRP 3.5.0 installed (through fastboot)
-Back up necessary files
-First REMOVE ur encryption (usually lockscreen PIN, Passward, etc,...) and reboot system
-Boot into TWRP recovery
-Factory wipe (format data > yes)
-Reboot recovery and choose 1. or 2.
1. Flash latest xiaomi.eu Zip ROM from SD card and then reboot, after boot up, back to recovery and format data again
2. Flash Newest firmware 12.5.1 from SD card
-Flash DotOS ZIP rom files from SD card, wipe data (swipe) then reboot.
-For those who want Magisk, u can install magisk after boot up 1st time. (Magisk is useful if you want to have fully functional MIUI camera and other sounds mod, kernel twitching, etc...)
Note: Having an SD card to store files to flash it is much faster because its data shouldn't be deleted while performing wipe or format (choose to exclude it)!. Turning on or off ambient display in Poco parts doesn't solve blackout; non other custom kernel will solve any problem because the stock one is just the same (alrd tested).

Gee I haven't experienced most of that. I hope it's fixed too then. Hope we get this update soon to find out.

Edit: so builds are paused. Guess that means bugs ☠️

Is the default Optimus Drunk kernel that comes with DotOS good enough or is there a better kernel option out there? Saw people mentioning Strombreaker kernel but I don't know if it's worth the trouble. Is it really THAT different?

I think it's good. I couldn't be bothered though 😅

    Maybe this week we'll get the 5.2 with october patches...? I don't wanna Ask for ETA but i'm watching the commit on git..
    the team has started rolling out 5.2 update to supported devices, so yes expect that POCO X3 NFC will receive the update in the coming days.

    Great ROM, with great battery life and it is very fast. Experienced one issue with touch not working for a minute, but it unfreezed itself after some time.

    The recent 5.2 update is really smooth and stable, most bugs r fixed and it have beautiful UI. The only bug left i haven't get a chance to test is the 5% battery sounds lost, will update when the battery drop. Thank you dev for maintaining and do good work this rom.

    Edit: i've runned the phone to 2% battery and the whole system is working flawless. It took like 17 hours for me to get the phone down to 5%. There are minor bugs with messenger not getting notification for new messages but im quite unsure what caused that fault, will update the experience later. Highly recommended updating clean to dot OS 5.2!

    Hey man ! Just flashed 5.2 on my Poco X3 NFC(Indian) and I have noticed some bugs . First , With AOD enabled , Sometimes the display freezes if the phone is on AOD for a little while and needs to be force rebooted. Second Gpay does not work , would be really helpful if Gpay worked . For somer3ason KWGT does not work .Otherwise battery seems very decent till now and the UI is so fluid and materialistic !
    Also Play Store does say that the device is not certified but Safety net does pass !

    EDIT :->
    Changed the device fingerprint to that of Pixel 5 and voila! GPay does work , Seems like I might have found my daily driver :)
    1
    I was coming from crDroid, I believe that's also OSS, right?
    Yes it's OSS based, but to avoid any issue it's better to flash stock A11 MIUI rom with Xiaomi flash tool then flash DotOS. Backup your data before flashing stock rom because it will erase all data from phone.

    Just sharing the proccess I did to get it working:
    - Flash stock 12.0.8 trough MiFlash on PC;
    - Install OrangeFox Recovery;
    - Reboot to recovery;
    - Wipe Data - yes;
    - Wipe Caches;
    - Reboot to recovery;

    OPTIONAL:
    (in this part, I had a really big problem, cause my computer wasn't recognizing FTP anymore. Everytime I rebooted to recovery, it showed the device connected, but I could not do anything like copy or create anything)
    Here is how I solved this part:
    - Rebooted to system;
    - MIUI boot screen showered up, so I quickly rebooted to recovery;
    - Now my computer recognized my device properly;
    END OF OPTIONAL

    - Flash ROM (mine was with gapps);
    - Reboot to system;

    OBS:
    (in this part, my phone kept rebooting to recovery all the time)
    Here is how I solved:
    - Once in recovery, wipe Data again;
    - Reboot to System;
    - Done!

    (Sorry for my bad english, I'm learning by myself)
    (I hope I can help at least one person with difficulties)

    Help. Stuck on recovery when try to flash DoT OS 5.1
    Already follow said step by step but I got recovery bootloop
    2
    For those who after upgrading to 5.1.3 having wifi problem, cannot boot, storage encrypted, etc. Rest assure, follow this step:
    1) Download this latest R Firmware and this DFE place it in ext sdcard or OTG
    2) Boot to recovery (i'm using OFOX), if asking for password, enter your device pin/password otherwise just leave it blank and enter
    3) Backup your things on internal sdcard and FORMAT your data partition. NOT WIPE. after that, reboot to recovery again
    4) Flash this in order { R Firmware -> DFE -> ROM -> Magisk (optional) -> Reboot to System }

    This step worked flawlessly in my case.

    Still this update feels unstable, random lag sometimes appear , KCAL not working, and the scrolling experience feel laggy, i'm personaly reccomend to not update to this version.
    2
    Hi, can you share link to this camera? Do i need root for this? I dont want safety net fails. Btw i swirched to arrow's latest build (OSS + A11), can't seem to flash this rom, any ideas why? xD
    1. Here is the link :
    2. For root i flashed anxcamera through Magisk which needs root acces (i havn't tried flashing it through recovery)
    3. i use PE+ and SafetyNet passes, so there is no problem with this.
    4. Try to flash stock MIUI ROM then flash the rom because PE+ it's not OSS based.
