Just download the ZIP archive of Magisk - https://magisk.me/zip/ and install it as a normal archive in TWRP

Brilliant thanks mate. For anyone else wondering, the magisk 23.0 zip from the link above works perfectly. TWRP is not required. I was able to reboot into the pixel experience recovery and flash it via adb connected to the pc. Root and magisk hide work perfectly. Safety net passes.
I also tried updating to magisk canary, however this would hard lock the phone 2 minutes after boot no matter what I did. Best to stick with 23.0.

I would like to report an issue which is observed on WhatsApp, Gpay and Paytm

I have fingerprint enabled, but on opening the app and later closing it, on re opening it again, it does not ask for authentication and gives complete access to the app.

Seems like a pretty big security issue.


1. Open the app for first time it asks for fingerprint
2. Close the app, remove from recent
3. Reopen the app again, does not ask for fingerprint or pin

Hey! As A12 it's relatively new, not all the apps have been updated for it. Whatsapp had issues in the beginning if A11 also

You can use adb to flash a file in recovery.
I did the same and it works flawlessly.

everything is working fine on this ROM right now (except some jitters in animations and navigation: maybe optimization issues).

You need to format data so yes. Read the instructions on OP.
Take backup of the files you need from Internal Storage to PC or to your SD and put them back after installation.

Is there any kind of touch issue because i am facing it everytime i lock the phone and unlock it touch stops working i need to lock the phone again wait for 2 to 5 mins and unlock it then it will work or i need to hard restart the phone

No I did not face any touch issue as such
