Hello all,

could someone tell explicitly how could we uograde from crdroid v7 to crdroid v8 please?
Is that the one were we should install like for the 1st time ?
Or is that to be done with the lineage recovery ?

Sorry but i'm new on this android flashing world.
And i don't understand why the device maintainer here don't take over (or continue) with the previous repo from here.
I'm not sure it is strategically a good idea having a cut on the tooling between two versions of same maintained device...
Especially if all claim having no responsibility if the device get stuck...
Thank you very much in advanced for any en-lighted answer.

Cheers

Hey there !
I'm on ambasadii rom (but now we must pay for it). So i'm looking for another Rom.
Is this one has a good battery life? No heating? no running services when the screen is off?

Thanks :)

When I went back to crDroid from a broken PE install, I noticed that Facebook Messenger refuses to load, even with the local and global cache and app data wiped, eveb tried older versiobs of the app; it worked in previous versions of crDroid. Notifications also don't work somehow.

Please fix these bugs in the next update.

Hey guys, thx for the great ROM!

I have been running the current version on my S10E for one week now and its nearly perfect: clean, snappy and great battery lilfe.

The only thing I'm missing is the Night mode under Display settings (the one that can be scheduled and filters blue colors). Is this a LineageOS thing that wasnt implemented or is that just crDroid? Would there be any way to get that to work in this ROM?

One suggestion for the installation documentation: Since you have linked the lineageOS 18 installation tutorial, it states in the requirements that Android Q or R firmware would be needed. But I bricked my phone coming from Q/10. After flashing Android 12 firmware, everything went smoothly.

Again, thx for your work and a great and compact ROM!!!

Hi, our device doesn't support nightlight.
Hey, thanks for the reply!
But the S10E does have a blue filter in Stock OS. I dont even believe its a hardware thing?

I have been using the blue light filter on my S10E since its release on BeyondROM as well. Its just that the Samsung ROM has absolute horrible battery times...draining my phone over night.

But this is the first time in ages that Im using a LineageOS/cyanogenmod ROM in ages. Thats why Im asking if its just not implemented or cant be or any other reason :)

A12 doesn't support blur, but you can flash magisk module by hoch10 called "ClearLineage"

I am on Lineage 18.1 with unlocked bootloader and want to try out this ROM. I think I am familiar on how to install this ROM but with one question: At what step in the install process do I need to flash a up to date firmware (my current firmware is 2 years old)?

    1) Before flashing Lineage Recovery (running TWRP right now)?
    2) After flashing Lineage Recovery?
    3) Or after I installed Lineage Recovery and did a factory reset?
In the instructions sections, it clearly says to update to the OneUI 4 before flashing this rom. After that you have to flash the lineage recovery & then flash this rom. 😊
